Tiger Woods and Fans Stunned as Justin Rose Makes History at TGL Match
The TGL golf just witnessed a moment of pure digital magic that nobody will ever forget. Justin Rose aced a 253-yard fairway shot for the first albatross in TGL history, a rare three-under-par feat on a par-5 hole during Season 2 against the Tiger Woods Jupiter Links GC team.

The official TGL social media account quickly posted the video celebrating his massive and rare achievement with a caption: “First albatross in TGL history.” Tiger Woods and the fans from the side was toal awestruck. And the fans online also reacted with total joy as the video clip quickly climbed past 8,700 views in minutes.
Justin Rose has accomplished plenty throughout his golf career, but the 45-year-old experienced a career first in Tuesday’s TGL match that he isn’t going to let anybody belittle.
The Englishman competed Tuesday alongside Los Angeles Golf Club teammates Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala against Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club, though TGL co-founder Woods was relegated to an eager cheerleader for his team’s match as he continues recovery from back surgery.
With LAGC already ahead entering the 10th hole, 4-1, Rose opened the singles session on the Par 5 Sterling, a long hole with a narrow bunker running through the middle of the entire length of the fairway.
After a perfect tee shot found the right side of the fairway, Rose followed it up with another perfect strike, finding the green and rolling it into the hole, making personal and TGL history in the process.
It was the first albatross in TGL history and, perhaps surprisingly, the first albatross ever for Rose, an experienced veteran of the PGA and DP World Tours.
Rose reacted by pumping his fists and embracing Theegala and Morikawa as he put LA ahead, 5-1, helping set up an eventual 8-4 victory.

“I didn’t know it was going in, but as a player I knew that I executed,” Rose said of his monumental shot. “As soon as I saw it kind of take off and stay straight, I was like, ‘that’s going to be good.’
“So that’s kind of why I was like, ‘well, I can’t do anything about it now, I may as well start walking.’ I was kind of walking to get my putter, obviously ended up not needing my putter, which was exciting.
“But that’s the surprise, right? You can hit a great shot, but the outcome is always slightly out of your control. But I was dead set, loved the way it felt off the club, and then you get that moment where you’re like, ‘oh my god, that’s going in.’ That’s kind of that surprise moment, which is amazing.
“So yeah, it was a fun moment to celebrate with the boys, and it was a cool moment, for sure.”
The victory, which was sealed by a Morikawa putt on the 14th hole, brought LAGC to 1-1 this season after losing to Boston Common GC in its opener earlier this month, putting the team in a playoff position for the time being still relatively early in the TGL campaign.
“We were all just good tonight,” Rose said. “We were all solid. There was no drama, really. We were just always in control, but when you let a team back in in match play, if you give them a little bit of momentum, things can shift.
“So I felt like Collin stepping up in that critical moment and making the putt was huge. Yeah, 0-2 at this point — I’m not saying The Bay and Jupiter are the teams that you look at and think that you should beat, but there’s some strong matches ahead for us as well, as there will be all the way to the end.”
