Tiger Woods’ friend lifts lid on ‘absurd’ Vanessa Trump relationship talk

Tiger Woods will not be marrying Vanessa Trump anytime soon despite claims that the couple are “wedding bells serious”, a friend of the PGA Tour star has claimed.

The duo are said to have been progressing with their relationship at a serious rate since publicly announcing their love for each other back in March, with one source close to them revealing just two months later that they could be “living together by the end of the year”.

Despite gaining the blessing of their children, which includes keen golfers Kai Trump, 18, and Charlie Woods, 16, not much has been revealed about Woods and Donald Trump’s former daughter-in-law, with the pair doing their best to remain out of the public eye.

Woods and Trump live just 20 minutes apart in the wealthy southern Florida enclave of Palm Beach and according to a friend of the former, it’s believed to be only a matter of time before they’re living under the same roof, as per a previous report from the Daily Mail.

Earlier this month, a fresh bombshell update claimed that the couple could even be heading towards marriage, despite only believed to have started dating around Thanksgiving, with a source close to Trump telling Page Six that “they’re very serious,” adding, “Wedding bells serious.”

Now, however, another friend of Woods has rubbished any talk of an imminent wedding to the Daily Mail, pointing towards the couple having financial reasons for why marriage would not make sense.

“Cynically, why should she get married? There’s no point of it, and it would just complicate her alimony from Donald [Trump Jr.],’ the friend said. “And Tiger of course paid out a lot in his divorce from Elin [Nordegren], and I don’t think he’s particularly excited to do that again.”

Woods’ friend – who is said to have known him for nearly two decades according to the Daily Mail report – also suggested that the golfer doesn’t yet know Trump well enough to get married again.

“If you know Tiger, you know that he’s not the type to just get married at the drop of a hat,’ said the friend. “He has been with women for years and not done that. I think it would take a lot to get him to be a groom again.”

While the Woods source insisted that the couple’s relationship is serious, they can’t see it meaning they will be walking down the aisle together anytime soon.

“Honestly, it makes no sense for them to do that at this point,” the insider said. “It’s 2025. You don’t need to be married if you don’t want to. Why mess with something that’s working so well?”

Although Trump’s source didn’t disclose whether anything is actually in the works with regards to an engagement or wedding date, they did say that the 47-year-old, who was previously married to Donald Trump Jr., is “so happy”.

Revealing that he and Trump had embarked on a relationship earlier in the year, Woods previously said on social media: “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!”
