Vanessa Trump’s subtle Tiger Woods gesture as she supports daughter Kai at LPGA Tour debut

Kai Trump is set to make her LPGA Tour debut this weekend at The Annika, but her grandfather, the former president, won’t be there. However, her mother, Vanessa, was by her side during the tournament’s pro-am event on Wednesday, subtly acknowledging her boyfriend, Tiger Woods.
Thanks to a sponsor exemption, 18 year old Kai Trump, who is still in high school, will make her professional debut this weekend in Belleair, Florida. She’s set to start her first year at Miami in 2026 with an LPGA event already under her belt. Woods is unlikely to be in attendance, but was recently spotted at an event for TaylorMade.

Kai mentioned that her grandfather, President Trump, won’t be present for her debut as he’s busy “running the world.” But Vanessa Trump, Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife, was there with her daughter for the pro-am session, even as Caitlin Clark drew larger crowds just a few holes behind on the back nine.
Vanessa Trump, who earlier this year, didn’t have him by her side on Wednesday. However, she did give a small nod to her partner through her choice of hat while supporting her daughter, sporting a Sun Day Red-branded cap.
Trump was seen wearing a black Sun Day Red baseball cap featuring a white Sun Day Red logo and the letters “S D R” encircling it.
The cap also had a logo on the side for The Genesis Invitational, an annual event hosted by Woods at the Riviera Country Club in Los Angeles.
Woods launched Sun Day Red in early 2024 after his iconic 27-year partnership with Nike came to an end.
A partnership with TaylorMade, the name comes from his signature red shirt worn on the final day of tournaments.
Woods and Vanessa Trump’s romance became public in March, with the couple confirming their relationship on social media while requesting privacy.
Before Kai Trump’s professional debut, she revealed guidance she got from one of golf’s all-time greats, who happens to be in a relationship with her mother.
“Yeah, I mean, he is the best golfer in the entire world,” Kai Trump said. “I would say that. And even better person.
“He told me to go out there and have fun and just go with the flow. Whatever happens, happens.”
She also talked about counsel from the president before the major debut.
“My grandpa pretty much told me go out there and have fun,” Trump said. “Just don’t get nervous. Try my best not to.”
