Tennis champion Serena Williams has not been shy about her weight loss journey and how she is doing it.

The athlete and mom, 43, revealed early into her venture that she was unapologetically taking Ozempic, a GLP-1 drug that gained popularity for its pound-shedding side effects.

In a new Instagram post, Williams is showing off her stunning weight loss in a gorgeous figure-fitting red dress.

“Just a mom trying to take a picture but I keep getting photobombed,” she joked of her images that also featured her daughter in the background. Williams has dropped over 31 pounds, and fans have certainly begun to notice.

“So beautiful, powerful, an example of a strong and beautiful woman inside,” said one fan.

“You look so healthy and happy, beautiful lady,” complimented another.

Why Serena Williams Went on Ozempic

In an exclusive with People, Williams gave a candid answer as to why she, as an athlete, needed the assistance of the GLP-1 to reach her weight goals postpartum.

“I never was able to get to the weight I needed to be no matter what I did, no matter how much I trained,” she admitted. “It was crazy because I’d never been in a place like that in my life where I worked so hard, ate so healthy, and could never get down to where I needed to be.”

“I had never taken shortcuts in my career and always worked really hard. I know what it takes to be the best,” she continued. “So it was very frustrating to do all the same things and never be able to change that number on the scale or the way my body looked.”

The mom is cognizant of how controversial her decision to go on the medication is. However, she did research for herself and consulted with a doctor to affirm she was doing what was best for her body and its specific needs. She’s also hyper-aware that she needs to be vigilant about body image issues when it comes to her two girls.

With me going through what I’ve went through growing up in public and just having millions of people commenting on my body, it’s really important to teach them to be confident at any size, just like I try to be,” she told People. “I was looking back at pictures, whether I was smaller or thicker, and at that moment I felt so confident. And I looked great, too. So I just think it’s so important to love who you are. You’ll never get that moment back. You don’t want to judge yourself when you’re just always showing up as your best.”

Coco Gauff Reacts to Angel Reese’s Stunning Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Debut

Coco Gauff recently reacted to Angel Reese’s impressive debut at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The annual fashion event took place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Steiner Studios in New York City.

Reese is a professional basketball player who plays as a power forward for the Chicago Sky in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). She also played for the Rose BC in the Unrivaled basketball league, a league in which Gauff is an investor.

How Did Coco Gauff React to Angel Reese’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Look?

Reese made history by becoming the first professional athlete to walk the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and she was also the first athlete ever chosen as a Victoria’s Secret “Angel.” To prepare for her walk, she worked with a runway coach, Alexander Aleson, and showcased two different looks during the event.

After the Victoria’s Secret fashion show concluded, Reese shared a series of pictures of both her outfits and posted a video of her runway walk on social media.

“first @victoriassecret fashion show 💗 ,” Reese captioned her Instagram post.

Reacting to Resse’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show look, Gauff took to social media and described the basketball star as “unreal.”

“unreal!!!” Gauff commented.

On the tennis side of things, Gauff most recently competed at the 2025 Wuhan Open, where she defeated Jessica Pegula in the final to claim the title, her third WTA 1000 title and her 11th career WTA Tour singles title.

Leading up to her title run in Wuhan, the World No. 3 participated in the 2025 China Open as the defending champion. She won the title in 2024 by defeating Karolína Muchová in the final, but this year, she reached the semifinals before losing to eventual winner Amanda Anisimova.

Gauff Drew Heartwarming Reaction From Reese for Winning French Open 2025

Earlier this year, after Gauff won her second singles Grand Slam title at the 2025 French Open, she received a heartfelt reaction from basketball star Reese. The World No. 3 was seeded second at the clay-court Grand Slam, and she began her campaign by defeating Olivia Gadecki, qualifier Tereza Valentová, Marie Bouzkova, and 20th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova in the first four rounds, respectively.

In the quarterfinals, Gauff overcame compatriot and seventh seed Madison Keys and advanced to the finals by eliminating wild card Loïs Boisson in the semifinals. In the championship match, she triumphed over top seed Aryna Sabalenka to win her first French Open singles title.

Gauff’s title victory at Roland Garros drew a reaction from Reese, who took to social media to praise the World No. 3’s achievement, referring to her as “the queen.”

Gauff had previously won the doubles title at the French Open. In 2024, she teamed up with Kateřina Siniaková and defeated the Italian duo of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini in the final to secure the title.

Oleksandr Usyk makes stance clear on Moses Itauma fight as he reveals ‘negotiations underway’ for return

Oleksandr Usyk admits he is unlikely to share the ring with precocious British heavyweight Moses Itauma next.

The Chatham southpaw has torn through the heavyweight division at an alarming rate, and at just 20 years old, he is already being touted as a world champion in waiting.

Saudi powerbroker Turki Alalshikh ranks Usyk vs Itauma highly on his boxing wishlist.

But Usyk, 38, doesn’t envisage the youngster in his immediate future.

“With Itauma? I won’t fight him,” he told UNN when asked about whether he will face Itauma in his next outing.

“He’s young. He’s still pushing me. And he said he doesn’t hit old men.”

Both Itauma and his trainer, Ben Davison, have repeatedly stated that they would accept a fight with Usyk in a heartbeat.

However, Itauma’s handlers aim to move their man at a more conservative rate.

The consensus feeling amongst his team is that Itauma needs to bank more rounds before diving in at the deep end.

Bouts with durable opponents such as Filip Hrgovic, Jermaine Franklin and Kubrat Pulev have been explored for December 13 in Manchester, although it has proven tricky to tie down his next dance partner.

Itauma’s promoter, Frank Warren, recently revealed to talkSPORTthat the majority of the boxers they have approached either priced themselves out of negotiations or flat-out rejected the fight.

Who could Oleksandr Usyk fight next?

Usyk, on the other hand, has no shortage of opponents queuing up to face him.

The Ukrainian was recently ordered by the WBO to face the winner of Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley’s upcoming clash on October 25 for the major sanctioning body’s interim title.

Meanwhile, Tyson Fury is campaigning for a trilogy with his bitter rival.

Whilst Usyk stopped short of revealing who he expects to face next, the former pound-for-pound king declared that ‘negotiations are underway’.

“I can’t say who I’ll be in the ring with because negotiations are underway,” he added.

“I’d be fooling you if I gave you a name…

“I train every day. Yesterday morning, I arrived and immediately went to the training hall.

“I train with the goal of entering the ring next year and, with God’s help, winning.”

Tyson Fury prioritizes showdown with Oleksandr Usyk over waiting for Anthony Joshua, reveals promoter Frank Warren

Tyson Fury’s potential return to the boxing ring is generating excitement, with a focus on a showdown against Oleksandr Usyk. Frank Warren, Fury’s promoter, has confirmed that Fury is prioritizing a match against Usyk rather than waiting for Anthony Joshua.

Fury’s Comeback Plans

After stepping away from boxing in early 2023, Fury aims to return in 2026. Warren explained, “He’s got to confirm it and sit down and work out when it’s going to be.” There is optimism about setting a date for Fury’s comeback.

Focus on Usyk

While discussions about a fight with Joshua are ongoing, Fury’s main ambition lies with Usyk. Warren stated, “The fight he really wants is another go with Mr. Usyk.” He believes that their previous encounters were thrilling and considers it the matchup that Fury consistently desires.

The Heavyweight Landscape

Anthony Joshua’s situation remains uncertain. Warren mentioned that discussions about Joshua involving a tune-up fight are prevalent. “He’s not going to sit around waiting,” Warren added, indicating the fluid nature of the heavyweight landscape.

Usyk’s Title Defense

Oleksandr Usyk’s future actions will significantly impact the heavyweight division. He faces a decision regarding his next mandatory challenger or possibly awaiting a third fight with Fury. To maintain his WBO title, Usyk may need to fight the winner of the Joseph Parker versus Fabio Wardley match.

Conclusion

Frank Warren emphasizes that whatever Usyk decides should be respected. The heavyweight division remains dynamic, and fans eagerly anticipate the prospect of a Fury-Usyk rematch. Fury, described as a savvy fighter, intends to only return if he feels prepared to compete effectively.

Boxing legend Mike Tyson was at his ruthless best on October 16, 1987.

The 31-0 knockout artist had already established himself as the best heavyweight on the planet.

Mike Tyson appeared to have his work cut out for him when he put the WBC, WBA, and IBF titles on the line against a 15-0 contender.

Tyrell Biggs stood at 6ft 5in tall and had the skills to potentially cause some problems. Good movement and a solid jab were two of the reasons he was able to win super heavyweight gold at the 1984 Olympics.

Watch Mike Tyson destroy Tyrell Biggs

Tyrell Biggs used his frame and footwork to keep Mike Tyson at bay for the first two rounds, but it was all downhill from there.

From round three on, the undisputed heavyweight champion began effectively cutting off the ring and landing big punches, which left Biggs’ face a swollen mess.

In round 7, Tyson sent his opponent crashing through the ropes with a monstrous left hook. Biggs was bloody and dazed, but he managed to make it back to his feet at the count of nine.

Tyson immediately landed a massive overhand right when the fight recommenced. Biggs tried to hold on, but the 21-year-old superstar landed another left hook to end the fight.

Biggs went flying across the ring into the corner, where the referee stood over him and waved off the fight with just one second left in the seventh stanza.

Mike Tyson’s next fight

Mike Tyson retired from professional boxing after suffering a stoppage loss to Kevin McBride in 2005.

Almost two decades later, the 59-year-old shocked the world by announcing a professional boxing comeback.

Tyson looked like a shadow of his former self but still managed to go the distance with Jake Paul in November 2024.

Next up, Tyson is set to face Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition mismatch scheduled for 2026.

Tiger Woods Left Former ESPN Host Completely ‘Freaking Out’ in Hilarious Encounter

The Ritz Carlton lobby in Atlanta, 2003. A flip phone in hand. A text from Stuart Scott promising lunch with “somebody you probably want to hang out with.” For Trey Wingo, what followed was 15 minutes that combined his most incredible fanboy moment with his most embarrassing elevator encounter—all thanks to Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan.

The longtime ESPN broadcaster recently shared this hilarious story on GOLF’s Subpar podcast with hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz. Wingo admitted he’s always been Tiger’s biggest fan. He even keeps a computer file documenting all 82 of Woods’ tournament victories. So when Scott texted him during the 2003 NBA All-Star weekend in Atlanta, Wingo had no idea he was about to meet his hero.

Tiger Woods

Wingo arrived at the restaurant and found Scott in a back booth. Then he turned around. Tiger Woods was sitting right there having lunch. The moment Wingo processed what was happening, Tiger looked up casually. “Hey, Trey,” Woods said.

Inside, Wingo was having a complete meltdown. Outside, he tried playing it cool. “I’m like, ‘Oh, oh, hey, Tiger. How are you?’” he recalled. “You know, I tried to be really cool, you know, just like freaking out.” They stayed for about 20 minutes before Woods and Scott had to leave. Meanwhile, Wingo couldn’t believe the world’s number one golfer knew him by name.

Now, picture what happened next. Wingo races out of the restaurant with his flip phone ready. He’s dying to call his dad about having lunch with Tiger Woods. The elevator doors open. Instead of waiting like a normal person, Wingo barges right in. He runs smack into what he describes as “a wall of a human being.” He looks up. Michael Jordan stares down at him.

“Wingo, watch where you’re going,” Jordan says. All Wingo can manage is, “Michael, sorry, that’s on me, it’s my bad.” In February 2003, Woods held eight major championships and was dominating the game of golf. Jordan, at 40 years old, was making his 14th and final All-Star appearance. Both legends were at the peak of their influence. Wingo literally crashed into both within 15 minutes.

“I got Tiger and the MJ in like a 15-minute span,” Wingo said. “I was like, ‘Yeah, I could die today. This is good.’” The hosts agreed he’d captured “half of the Mount Rushmore” in one afternoon.

Stuart Scott’s legacy as sports media’s ultimate connector

This unforgettable moment wouldn’t have happened without Stuart Scott. The legendary SportsCenter anchor, who passed away in January 2015, possessed a unique ability to unite people. His casual text to Wingo—“come down, I’m having lunch with somebody you probably want to hang out with”—perfectly captured his approach to relationships in sports media.

Scott joined ESPN in 1993 and quickly became one of the network’s signature anchors. By 2003, he’d built genuine connections with athletes across every sport through his authentic approach and cultural understanding. LeBron James later praised Scott for giving “inner city kids someone we could relate to that wasn’t a player but was close enough to them.” NFL player Keyshawn Johnson credited Scott with bringing “that hip-hop culture, that urban feel, to television sports broadcasting.”

Scott’s ability to facilitate these connections extended far beyond the camera. He regularly brought together broadcasters and athletes in informal settings, creating moments that transcended professional relationships. His interviews with Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and even Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama demonstrated his unique access and genuine rapport with significant figures. The lunch at the Ritz-Carlton represented exactly how Scott operated—casually connecting people and creating memories that lasted for decades.

Wingo’s reaction also proves something about sports media. Even accomplished broadcasters never lose their inner fan. The same guy who spent 23 years at ESPN hosting flagship shows like NFL Live became a starstruck kid when Tiger Woods recognized his name. Stuart Scott understood this perfectly. He created spaces where that fanboy excitement could coexist with professional excellence.

Tiger Woods’ recent back surgery forced fans to once again postpone their hopes of seeing him play. Woods hadn’t even fully recovered from his torn Achilles tendon when he had to face this new injury.

Woods recently underwent lumbar disc replacement surgery, his seventh back surgical procedure. According to Golfweek, the recovery process could take anywhere from weeks to months. With such prospects, many are wondering when Woods will be able to return to the courses, or even if he will return at all.

Well, the legend has spoken: Woods has circled a date for his return to the golf spotlight, sort of. While he stopped short of confirming a competitive comeback, Woods announced he’ll be present for every Jupiter Links Golf Club match in the upcoming TGL season.

“I’ll be there for every match! Looking forward to seeing everyone on January 13th for our home opener,” Woods replied on X in response to a previous post by the team.

Woods has not played competitive golf since the start of the season, when he participated in his team’s first TGL matches. In December of last year, he played his most recent tournament on a golf course, finishing second in the PNC Championship, teaming up with his son Charlie.

His last official tournament to date was the 2024 Open Championship, where he missed the cut.

Fans had been excited about Woods’ possible return when videos were released of the 82-time major winner swinging golf clubs ahead of the Nexus Cup last September. He had previously been seen several times walking golf courses, accompanying Charlie at tournaments.

Just a few days ago, the field for the Hero World Challenge was announced, leaving three spots open for sponsor exemptions. It was expected that Woods could fill one of those spots if he completed his recovery from the Achilles tendon injury he suffered last March.

While his recent back surgery rules out any chance of seeing him compete in this year’s event, Woods could still make an appearance in a non-playing role. As tournament host, his presence remains a possibility, and, if his recovery allows, he may even be on hand to present the trophy to the winner.

As for competitive golf, it’s unlikely we’ll see Tiger Woods back on the course before the 2026 Masters, and even that feels optimistic.

Rick Macci says Coco Gauff is the mentally strongest player since Serena Williams

Rick Macci, the legendary coach credited with assisting the Williams sisters during the early stages of their tennis careers, has discussed Gauff’s mental strength on social media.

The American, who has also coached Maria Sharapova and Andy Roddick, took to social media to express his opinion.

On X [Twitter], Macci said: “Coco is the mentally strongest player we have seen since Serena.

“To deal with the doubles [double faults] and at times a shaky forehand, she just keeps locked in and knows how to win.

“Number one is down the street because she now has the serve, and the Delray Dart will be even tougher to beat.”

Macci also recently claimed that Gauff has saved her career after making some key technical changes to her serve.

Coco Gauff has 1,500 points to defend for the rest of the season

Coco Gauff has to defend points at only one more tournament in 2025.

Gauff will defend 1,500 points when she competes at the 2025 WTA Finals in November, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This is because Gauff won the WTA Finals in 2024.

In last year’s final, Gauff defeated third seed Qinwen Zheng 3-6, 6-4, 7-6.

Serena Williams Turns Heads in Red Dress (and Baby Adira Makes an Appearance Too)

From eye-catching slip dresses to bold cutout numbers, Serena Williams certainly knows how to serve (pun intended).

The sports legend and WYN Beauty founder frequently showcases her style on Instagram, and on October 12, she posted a carousel of photos of her posing in a slim-fitting red mini dress that featured a fitted bodice and tailored skirt. Pairing her dress with light pink pointed-toe pumps, Williams looked spectacular as usual, but it was her daughter, Adira, who stole the show, as she adorably photobombed every single picture her mom took.

Williams captioned the post, “Just a mom trying to take a picture, but I keep getting photobombed,” which prompted some heartwarming responses from fans. “They just love being with their mommy, and you do such a great job being that great mom. We love you, Serena,” commented one, with others chiming in, “Awww, so sweet … she’s a cutie pie,” and “Can’t block the serve.”

This isn’t the first time the tennis legend and her daughter have showcased sweet mother-daughter moments. Earlier this year, Williams shared a picture of Adira perched on her hip, as she used her free hand to hold a racket. Dressed in black pants, sneakers, a white jacket and a matching hat, the 44-year-old looked like she was ready to get back on the court, with Adira watching her every move.

“I never thought I would have to carry my doubles partner,” Williams captioned the post, adding,  “Subscribe to watch an epic video of me practicing with @adiraohanian…Caution, don’t try this at home.”

“I need to see you at the US Open. Playing,” one person commented, with another writing, “ IT’S TIME FOR A COMEBACK !!!”

Terence Crawford Didn’t Hesitate When Asked If He Will Now Face Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis

Pound-for-pound great Terence Crawford has once again been linked with a showdown with the unbeaten Jaron Ennis.

The 38-year-old from Omaha wrote his name into the boxing history books last month when he defeated Mexican superstar Canelo Alvarez via unanimous decision to capture the undisputed super-middleweight championship.

Crawford became the first male fighter in the history of the sport to capture an undisputed crown in three separate weight divisions, having previously achieved this feat at super-lightweight and welterweight respectively.

As rumours begin to circulate about what could be next for ‘Bud’, one fighter that reportedly remains interested in a showdown with the pound-for-pound superstar is former unified world welterweight champion ‘Boots’ Ennis.

Speaking after his victory over Canelo, Crawford was asked if there was any possibility that he could drop back down in weight to allow a clash with Ennis to happen in the near future.

“No. I ain’t going down to 154.”

Crawford had a brief spell at super-welterweight back in August of 2024 when he dethroned former WBA world champion Israil Madrimov, defeating the Uzbek star via unanimous decision in Los Angeles.

Ennis recently made his debut at 154lbs having spent the majority of his career to date campaigning at welterweight, where he held the WBA and IBF world titles until August.

The 28-year-old from Philadelphia stopped Portugal’s Uisma Lima in the opening round of their bout on October 11, capturing the ‘vacant’ WBA interim super-welterweight title in the process.
