Manny Pacquiao’s past opponent Keith Thurman is open to a rematch.

Pacquiao made his return to the ring in July to fight WBC welterweight champion Mario Barrios, following a four-year hiatus that succeeded his loss to Yordenis Ugas in 2021.

In what many thought was a robbery of a deserving win for ‘Pac Man’, his comeback bout with Barrios ended in a majority decision draw.

Pacqiuao and Thurman could roll back the years

His valiant resurgence has sparked a lot of discussion about what’s next for the 46-year-old.

With Thurman hinting that he’d be keen on facing Pacquiao again, he has stoked the rivalry by questioning his rival’s tactics during their 2019 bout.

Thurman told YSM Sports Media: “Manny Pacquiao is his own referee.

“I don’t know how much you know about Manny Pacquiao’s history, he calls for breaks, he calls his own low blows, he’ll deduct a point from you when he wants to so you gotta be careful with Manny Pacquiao being his own judge in there.”

Pacquiao edged a split-decision victory to claim the WBA welterweight title during their solo meeting, making him the oldest champion in the division’s history at age 40.

Their clash remains Thurman’s only career defeat, and a second bout would finally give the American a chance to settle the score.

Thurman continued: “You know it’s hard, there’s a part of me that would love an opportunity to get back in this arena to fight Manny Pacquiao again.

“For myself, for my record, for the fans, but you know I’m just going to look and see what comes next man, because I’m gonna be fighting this year guaranteed.”

Ironically, Thurman also returned from a period of inactivity to fight Barrios, although he won their 2022 bout via unanimous decision.

After defeating Brock Jarvis in a third round knockout in his only outing to the ring this year, the American is continuing a successful comeback of his own.

While a rematch for Pacquiao and the former unified welterweight champion, Thurman, may be on the cards – he isn’t the only one of Pacquiao’s old rivals who is seeking a rematch.

What’s next for Manny Pacquiao?

Pacquiao had aimed to become the oldest welterweight champion in history for a second time, by winning the title in his bout against Barrios.

Despite failing to secure the record, a Barrios rematch remains an option although it is the least likely one for the Filipino’s next outing.

Pacquiao is certainly a man that many want the opportunity to fight.

His advisor, Sean Gibbons, has named Rolly Romero and Gervonta Davis as two ideal alternative opponents for his fighter.

Former IBF super-lightweight champion Liam Paro is also seeking a bout with Pacquiao.

The Australian is hoping to lure Pacquiao back to the location he suffered his upset defeat to Jeff Horn in 2017.

Anthony Joshua and his next opponent in boxing appear close to locking in an agreement for a heavyweight spectacle in the coming months, and that raises alarm bells for the former two-time champion’s long-time promoter, Eddie Hearn, who is the chairman of flourishing British sports firm Matchroom.

Joshua has beaten a who’s who of big-name fighters in his division throughout the years, including Dillian Whyte, Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, Alexander Povetkin, and Otto Wallin. He has not fought, though, since his brutal fifth-round knockout loss to Daniel Dubois — which took place at Wembley Stadium in London almost one year ago — and is not expected to return to the ring until “early 2026.”

Oleksandr Usyk, who has beaten Joshua twice already, owns all of the heavyweight world titles right now, and Joshua’s long-time rival Tyson Fury remains retired. This leaves few obvious opponents for AJ to fight, however, of all the names linked to the superstar fighter, there is one who is “a very real” candidate to fight Joshua, according to Hearn.

Why Anthony Joshua’s Next Fight Concerns Boxing Promoter Eddie Hearn

Hearn sees the bout as a mismatch

The fight is a “dangerous” one, said Hearn when talking to Ring Magazine.

Previously, Hearn had said Whyte, Jared Anderson, and even Deontay Wilder were in the running to box Joshua next. Yet a new candidate has emerged as a “50-50” probability to fight the Brit because of what Hearn sees as the enormous financial viability of the showdown.

“This is very real,” Hearn added, regarding a crossover contest involving Jake Paul.

Hearn said that he and Paul’s business partner and Most Valuable Promotions co-founder, Nikisa Bidarian, had an hour-long chat on July 30 to discuss the likelihood of the improbable worlds of Paul, and Joshua, colliding.

“Nakisa was very honest and he’s concerned about the fight but Jake truly believes he can win the fight or at least be competitive in it.”

“And now, because of the size of the fight, it leads me to believe there’s a very good chance it could happen. If I had to rate that chance I would say it’s 50:50. It was a very positive conversation and we expect that conversation to extend over the coming weeks.”

“If they really want it, it will happen.”

One obstacle block in the match-up regards weight, as Paul is typically a cruiserweight. Joshua, though, is an established heavyweight who is an effective giant at 6-foot-6 and around 250 pounds in weight. But Hearn insists both guys would weigh a similar amount on the night. As much as there could be people who point at Joshua’s decline, or to Paul’s gradual developments, but Hearn, still, struggles to “justify” a “mismatch.”

“It’s dangerous in my opinion.”

Hearn continued: “I think Joshua is probably yet to get his head round it until he knows that it’s a possibility. After my call this week I’d say it’s definitely a possibility. AJ understands the commercial world and will look at this and see that it’s huge. It would probably be the biggest fight that could ever happen anywhere. It would be right up there with his biggest purses ever. You can talk about the boxing world but this would be the outer world.”

It is the type of contest Joshua has willingly engaged in before, considering he took on the former UFC champion Francis Ngannou, and dispatched of him with ease because of a brutal, second-round knockout. There is a motivation in doing the same to Paul, so that the former creator and YouTube star’s run in boxing can finally come to an end, Hearn said.

“This is dangerous. This is like tuning in to watch David Blaine but much more dangerous and much more real. You’re not trying to escape from a box in three minutes, you’re in there with one of the biggest punchers of all time and it isn’t a game.

“It’s never I’ve called for or told people we’re targeting this but I do also understand the colossal size of this fight commercially and probably the appetite from a lot of people to evaporate Jake Paul from the boxing world. That is probably what this does.”

UFC champion received shock callout from Gervonta Davis after stunning arch-rival in one-round UFC 227 beatdown

TJ Dillashaw knocked out Cory Garbrandt for a second time on this day in 2018, and that win was met with a shock callout from a fighter in a different sport.

While Conor McGregor’s feud with Khabib Nurmagomedov always comes to mind first when discussing the most bitter rivalries in UFC history, they are far from the only opponents to have hatred for one another when they shared the cage.

That was the case twice for Dillashaw and Garbrandt, two former Alpha Male teammates who engaged in fiery clashes and trash talk after the former left the gym. Their feud was undoubtedly among the most personal the Octagon has seen, and it got settled over two showdowns.

Dillashaw came out on the winning side of both, first stopping Garbrandt in round two at UFC 217 and then doing so even quicker minutes into their rematch at UFC 227.

Gervonta Davis said he wanted a piece of TJ Dillashaw after UFC 227

Dillashaw’s second win over Garbrandt at UFC 227 took place on this day, August 4, in 2018 and cemented his status as one of the all-time greats at 135 pounds. Plenty of reactions flowed after the high-profile rematch, but one prominent name who spoke out was not on fans’ bingo cards.

The win at UFC 227 evidently made Dillashaw a target for more than just contenders in the UFC bantamweight division, as then-WBA super featherweight champion Gervonta Davis expressed his desire to fight Dillashaw in a post on social media.

“I wanna fight the dude that fought Cody yesterday,” Davis wrote.

To the surprise of fans, ‘Tank’ later clarified that he was targeting Dillashaw in the UFC star’s wheelhouse of MMA.

The bantamweight champ welcomed the bout while responding, and he also made sure to slip in a jibe at Davis over claims he was being protected by Floyd Mayweather from facing Vasiliy Lomachenko.

“Bring it! I heard they were handing out belts after Loma left your division,” Dillashaw wrote.

Gervonta Davis also once had Sean O’Malley in his sights

Dillashaw is not the only prominent MMA name with whom ‘Tank’ has had exchanges over a fight.

Davis went back and forth with Sean O’Malley both before and after ‘Suga’ reached the bantamweight throne in the UFC. The MMA star pointed to Davis as the ideal opponent in his ambition of following in Conor McGregor’s footsteps by pursuing a major crossover bout in the ring.

O’Malley claimed he would knock out Davis when he resurfaced talk of their fight in 2024 while mocking ‘Tank’ for his win over Frank Martin.

“An MMA fighter coming into boxing, like Conor, they did a way heavier weight than Floyd (Mayweather) was used to,” O’Malley said on an episode of his TimboSugaShow podcast.

“They would probably put in the clause that I can weigh in being 5’11” but I have to walk into the ring at 5’8″. I’m like, ‘I can’t do that’… We’re done with that boxing bulls—, I’d knock Gervonta out, well, anyway.”

His boxing ambitions have since taken a hit, however. After being unseated by Merab Dvalishvili in September 2024, O’Malley was submitted by Dvalishvili at UFC 316 in their rematch this past June.

It wasn’t the return to the tennis court that turned heads-it was a stroll through New York City.

Serena Williams, vacationing with her family in the Big Apple last week, made headlines after appearing notably slimmer during a casual outing.

But when TMZ Sports approached her about the constant fan chatter surrounding her weight, the retired tennis legend kept it simple: “Everyone looks great!” And just like that, she shut it down with a smile.

When asked how she was feeling, the 43-year-old four-time Olympic gold medalist added, “Look good, feel good, right?” It wasn’t much, but it was enough to fuel an online frenzy.

Fans Are Talking, Serena’s Not-And That Says A Lot

Followers on social media have been tracking her transformation for months, noting everything from her tighter frame to her defined abs. Since welcoming her youngest daughter, Adira, nearly two years ago, Williams is estimated to have lost about 40 pounds-and people have noticed.

But Serena’s not in the mood to break it all down publicly. Instead, she’s been dropping glimpses of her high-intensity workouts, wellness routines, and plant-based meals on Instagram, often without any caption at all.

A Time magazine feature earlier this year revealed a bit more: Williams and husband Alexis Ohanian live on a sprawling five-acre farm in South Florida, where they grow much of their own food-everything from sweet potatoes and berries to antioxidant-packed Moringa leaves she dries and brews into tea. “We basically live off the land,” she said in the April cover story.

She’s also trading recipes with friend Meghan Markle, whose own backyard garden in California has become a similar source of inspiration. And while some fans have speculated that Serena’s slim-down could signal a possible comeback, her recent projects suggest otherwise.

She’s laser-focused on life after tennis-running Serena Ventures, investing over $100 million into women- and minority-led startups, and even jumping into the sports ownership arena with a stake in the upcoming WNBA franchise, the Toronto Tempo.

Oh, and she’s executive producing Carrie Soto Is Back for Netflix-a story about a retired Grand Slam champ who returns for one final shot at glory. Whether it’s art imitating life or just good timing, Serena isn’t saying.

The PGA Tour is expected to return to one of President Trump’s golf courses in 2026.

Trump Doral in Florida hosted a prominent PGA Tour tournament for several years. However, for the past decade, the PGA Tour has stayed away, possibly for political reasons. That is expected to change beginning in 2026.

According to a report from the  Sports Business Journal report, which cited “five industry sources,” Trump Doral is expected to host a PGA Tour tournament beginning in 2026.

It’s expected to host a tournament in next year’s April 30-May 3 date window, which falls between the Zurich Classic and Truist Championship.

Tiger Woods is a major fan of President Trump’s courses.

Earlier this year, Tiger Woods and his son, Charlie Woods, played a round of golf with President Trump at his course in Florida. Perhaps we’ll see Tiger Woods competing at the PGA Tour event at President Trump’s course in 2026. Tiger Woods will need to be healthy, of course, but he has a good relationship with the President of the United States.

If Tiger Woods is physically able to play, it’s likely that he’ll be competing at President Trump’s tournament.

LIV Golf star Bryson DeChambeau, meanwhile, wants to see The Open Championship return to President Trump’s course in Scotland, Trump Turnberry.

“I look at it as a golf course,” DeChambeau said after his round on Friday. “It’s one of the best golf courses in the world, and I’d love for it to be a part of the rotation.

“Albeit I haven’t played it, I’ve heard so many great things about it, and any time you get to play a special historical golf course like that, I think it’s worthy of it, for sure.”

DeChambeau thinks President Trump would do a great job of hosting the event.

“He’d still probably respect the R&A and what they’re trying to accomplish,” DeChambeau said. “I can’t speak on his behalf, but what I can say is, knowing him, he’ll do his best of a job as he possibly can.”

Timothy Bradley has boldly claimed that even a performance-enhanced version of Canelo Alvarez would still fall short against Terence Crawford when the two pound-for-pound stars collide on September 13 at Allegiant Stadium.

Canelo and Crawford battle it out for all four versions of the super middleweight title, with Bradley firmly backing the underdog in the fight.

Bradley’s Bold Prediction for Canelo vs. Crawford
Speaking to Fight Hub TV, the Hall of Famer didn’t hold back when asked about Canelo’s chances against the undefeated three-division champion.

“It doesn’t matter if Canelo is on that s*** (PEDS), he isn’t beating Terence Crawford,” said Bradley. “You heard it here first.”

Bradley, who’s never shied away from controversial takes, cast doubt on Canelo’s recent performances while giving complete confidence to Crawford’s continued dominance at 41-0.

“Look at the performances of Canelo. They have been alright, they haven’t been wow, they haven’t blown me away. So I’m not worried,” he continued. “The same will go with Crawford.”

Crawford’s SNAC Partnership and Doping Concerns
The conversation also veered into the topic of nutrition and supplementation, specifically regarding Crawford’s association with SNAC, the company founded by notorious BALCO figure Victor Conte.

A report earlier in the week raised eyebrows over the partnership, but Bradley dismissed concerns about doping.

“I know he is with SNAC and some news came out this week, but I personally believe that SNAC is clean,” said Bradley. “I think it’s a conflict of interest in the fact that [Conte] knows how to beat the system – quote unquote – but at the same time, I think SNAC has got products going around the world to all these athletes, and they are testing and they are not testing positive.”

“So I think they are safe, there is no doubt about it. So I am not worried about that. With that being said, I’m good.”

The Canelo vs Crawford clash happens under the guidance of Turki Alalshikh, TKO, and Dana White, with the super-fight holding legacy-defining repercussions for the winner.

Floyd Mayweather warned two streamers that there’s a very good reason why he wouldn’t give them each a punch during a recent video.

The legendary 50-0 boxer has shared the ring with the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya, never losing even once. However, during that time he wasn’t known as a big puncher, and never fought higher than 156lb in his run.

As a result, there is a perception that an untrained fan might be able to take one of his punches to the body. And he had to remind some social media stars that they don’t want to learn the hard way that such a feeling is false.

JUST IN: ‘No engagement’: Joseph Parker’s team provides worrying update on Oleksandr Usyk fight

Floyd Mayweather refuses to punch influencer with chilling warning

During a recent Kick stream, model and influencer Marlon Lundgren Garcia managed to get next to Floyd Mayweather during a promotional appearance. At first, the boxing icon seemed irked by his presence, presuming a prank or ‘situation’ was coming.

Once security insisted that Garcia was okay, Mayweather heard out his offer of throwing a body shot at the model. However, he quickly declined, letting him know he couldn’t do it ‘for a reason’.

Mayweather also noted that they were there “to sell a product, not box”. However, they did continue streaming and it appears to have done well for whatever product the boxer was selling as the clip went viral.

Floyd Mayweather in talks for fighting comeback against his greatest rival

Mayweather hung up his gloves after knocking out Conor McGregor in 2017, and has never really entertained the idea of a comeback since. He has continued to take part in scoreless exhibition bouts, most famously against Logan Paul and John Gotti III.

Floyd Mayweather lands a clean punch on Logan Paul

However, after learning that Manny Pacquiao was coming back to the fight Mario Barrios for his welterweight world title at the age of 46 this year, reports emerged that Mayweather was considering a comeback.

Pacquiao ended up coming within inches of victory as he drew with Barrios in Las Vegas, and the Mayweather talks appear to have slowed. But given their first meeting was the highest selling boxing match of all time, the bout would be a major priority for promoters to make.

Both parties have been given 30 days to agree upon terms before the WBO proceeds with a purse bid.

Usyk unified the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO titles last month by knocking out Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium.

But he could be stripped of the latter if he chooses not to make a defence against Parker.

Here's how their stats compare

READ: Deontay Wilder Says He Will ‘Most Definitely’ Face Fellow KO Artist Before Retiring

The Kiwi’s manager Higgins believes this could be a real possibility as Usyk is still yet to get in contact with the relevant parties over a week after the issuance of the WBO’s letter.

Providing an update on Usyk vs Parker to Sky Sports, Higgins said: “Last time I spoke to Frank Warren [who promotes Parker in the UK], there had been no engagement.

“That is what I was told, a couple of days ago.

“It’s boxing, anything can happen. You don’t rule anything in or out, really.

“But I think Usyk would have engaged by now in a discussion or a negotiation if he wanted to retain and defend his undisputed heavyweight world titles.”

If Usyk opts to go another route, then Parker will likely be elevated to full WBO world champion again.

The 33-year-old held the red and gold strap between 2016 and 2018 before he was eventually dethroned by Anthony Joshua in Cardiff.

If this does prove to be the case, then the winner of Moses Itauma vs Dillian Whyte on August 16 could act as Parker’s first defence.

Itauma is currently the next highest-ranked heavyweight by the WBO.

The major sanctioning body places him at No.1 in their ratings – a position he climbed to in May after flattening Mike Balogun.

Parker remains hopeful that he will get an opportunity to fight for all four world titles against Usyk.

But in his heart of hearts, there is clearly a feeling that he will be overlooked.

Parker told talkSPORT.com last month: “He [Usyk] seemed a bit resistant when he was questioned after the fight [about facing me].

“He named a few names, but I was last on that list. He mentioned Tyson [Fury], [Derek] Chisora, and Anthony Joshua before me.”

Serena Williams isn’t letting critics of her recent weight loss get into her head as she continues to showcase her fit form.

While the Grand Slam champ was on an outing in New York on Friday, where she has been enjoying a vacation with her family, she was asked by TMZ Sports how she handles fans constantly ‘monitoring her weight.’

‘Everyone looks great!’ she replied, sidestepping the question.

One featured her on a yacht wearing a black bikini top, polka dot bottoms, and a matching Miu Miu hat. Simone looked stunning as she arched her back to pose for the camera, giving us a nice view of her toned back and strong legs. The athlete’s smile and the surrounding blue-green body of water added to the overall serene vibe of the picture.

Fans React To Her Alleged New Look

Simone’s recent pictures, sporting seemingly fuller breasts, have sparked an online debate between her followers. Some of her fans don’t mind and are too busy loving the fact that she looks happier; others are expressing their displeasure.

An Instagram user commented, “Did she get a boob job?”

Another sounded slightly bitter, saying, “Your fake t-ts look disgusting, yet you body[shame] other gymnasts.”

These were pretty much the worst comments, as most of her followers had nice things to say. Some gushed over her caption, while others couldn’t get enough of the hot pictures.

A particular Instagram user couldn’t contain her admiration. She stated, “Simone is exactly who she thinks she is, and I will unequivocally support this woman forever. Love love love.”
