Jake Paul Trolled After Private Jet Dig at Floyd Mayweather Resurfaces

Jake Paul just couldn’t help himself. The YouTube-turned-boxer spotted Floyd Mayweather’s private jet and saw an opportunity too good to pass up. In a video that’s now blowing up across social media, Paul mocks the boxing legend’s six-window aircraft before strutting toward his own 14-window jet. The swagger was unmistakable. The pettiness was off the charts.

The video says it all. Paul walks up to Mayweather’s jet with a camera rolling. “Look at this s***… only got six windows!” he shouts, pointing dismissively at the aircraft. Then comes the theatrics. He skips toward his own plane like a kid showing off a new toy. “My plane got 14 windows! Fourteen!” The emphasis drips with smugness. He repeats it, laughing, making sure everyone gets the point. It’s petty. It’s childish. And it’s classic Jake Paul.

But here’s the thing, the internet wasn’t having it. Instead of applauding Paul’s flex, fans turned the mockery right back at him. The backlash came swift and brutal. From drawing comparisons to Anthony Joshua’s humility to making cruel jokes about Paul’s latest defeat, the response was so loud that it could not be heard any other way: this flex was nowhere near Jake’s expectations.

The video is not a recent one; it was first seen in September 2025. Jake Paul had placed his $40 million jet beside Floyd Mayweather’s at the airport. This was a planned event with the teasing done very smartly. Paul, who has a boxing record of 12-2, enjoyed poking Mayweather’s 50-0 undefeated legacy. The re-posted clip has already gathered more than 2 million views. The spectators are really interested in it. Even in 2026, the animosity still attracts people.

Fans destroy Jake Paul after Floyd Mayweather jet mockery

The internet had a field day with this one. Fans didn’t hold back. Some clowned Paul for the pettiness. Others questioned why two billionaires were arguing over airplane windows. The comments section turned into a roasting session. And Jake Paul was the main course.

One fan got creative with wordplay. “If Mayweather goes on holiday to Tenerife, Jake Paul goes to Elevenerife.” The joke played on Paul’s need to always go bigger, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. Another user saw through the strategy. “Stuff like this gets Floyd’s attention, I bet.” They recognized Paul’s tactic—provoke the legend, stay relevant, keep the clicks coming.

The Anthony Joshua comparisons started rolling in. “Anthony Joshua, despite being worth more than Jake, would never be caught flexing a single thing.” Fans pointed out the contrast between real class and manufactured clout. Some kept it simple and savage. “When your jet is smaller than your ego… 🛩️😎” The dig landed perfectly—Paul’s personality was always the bigger issue. And then came the knockout blow. “This is why AJ broke his jaw.” Fans connected the dots between Paul’s trash talk and his recent loss, suggesting karma had already caught up with him.

Jake Paul was trying to humiliate Floyd Mayweather. He, however, gave the internet something to talk about. The jet show-off turned out to be a big mistake as fans ridiculed him. The derision returned to him. And the moral is very obvious: if you are going to criticize a great one, you should be very sure that your house is clean. Paul’s was not. The internet took care of letting everyone know.

WBA finally addresses Gervonta Davis status as champion after arrest warrant issued

After news that an arrest warrant has been issued for WBA lightweight world champion Gervonta Davis, the WBA has provided an update on whether action will be taken.

‘Tank’ Davis was arrested on battery domestic violence charges in both February 2020 and December 2022, before being arrested once again last July after reportedly striking one of his ex-girlfriends. Charges were dropped just one month later.

WBA finally addresses Gervonta Davis status as champion after arrest warrant issued

The reigning 135lb champion was then scheduled to face Jake Paul in a lucrative showdown in Miami, until he was pulled from the card due to new domestic violence allegations, after a civil lawsuit was filed by another of his ex-partners.

Anthony Joshua stepped in for Davis and handed Paul a first stoppage defeat last month, whilst the Baltimore-born bruiser was left contemplating his future in the sport.

Yesterday, it was confirmed that Davis had been issued an arrest warrant for the incident that cost him his place in the Paul event, citing charges including false imprisonment, battery and attempted kidnapping.

Now, WBA President Gilberto Mendoza has informed respected boxing journalist Salvador Rodriguez that the WBA ‘intends to take swift action’ as they analyse Davis’ status as their lightweight champion.

As a result, it is expected that Davis may soon be stripped of his title, leaving number one contender Floyd Schofield and WBA #2 Lucas Bahdi as the expected participants in a scrap for the vacant belt.

Both Schofield and Bahdi remain undefeated in their respective professional careers, but 23-year-old Schofield would be expected to enter the ring as the favourite, following on from his impressive first-round beatdown of Tevin Farmer in his solitary outing of 2025.

Anthony Joshua Posts New Boxing Return Update Amid Retirement Speculation

Anthony Joshua has posted footage of himself in training for the first time since being involved in a fatal car crash that killed two of his close friends.

The 36-year-old former heavyweight champion sustained minor injuries in late December, when the Lexus SUV he was travelling in collided with a stationary truck on a major road near Lagos, Nigeria.

Sina Ghami and Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele, his close friends, sadly passed away in the crash.

Joshua travelled back to the United Kingdom after a short stay in hospital and attended the funerals of Ghami and Ayodele at a mosque in London on January 4.

Last week, he paid tribute to Ghami and Ayodele, saying he is finding it “tough” to process their deaths.

“Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers. I didn’t even realise how special they are,” Joshua wrote on Instagram.

“I’ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men. 100 per cent it’s tough for me, but I know it’s even tougher for their parents.”

He added: “I have a strong mind, and I believe God knows their hearts. May God have mercy on my brothers.”

Over the past month, there has been speculation as to whether Joshua will retire from boxing after the tragic incident.

Now, Joshua has posted a video on Snapchat showing him hitting pads, working out and riding a stationary bike, with the message “mental strength therapy” featuring at the bottom of one clip.

There have been no conversations over Joshua’s future, according to his promoter Eddie Hearn, who was recently asked whether he expects the heavyweight fighter to take some time away from the sport.

“He will need his time physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually before he makes a decision on his future,” Hearn told Sky Sports. “I do think he will want to return to boxing, but that will be his decision when the time is right.

“It is certainly not a conversation I’ll be having with him any time soon. The only conversation is ‘are you OK?’ and sometimes we find people will give that facade of being OK, but what happened to him is not normal and heartbreaking for all involved.”

“When the time is right, I believe he will make his decision and you will hear it from him,” added Hearn. “That is the only voice you should listen to in that respect and we’ll give him his time to make that decision and heal.”

Miami PD and U.S. Marshals Launch Manhunt for Gervonta Davis After Arrest Warrant Issued

Law enforcement agencies in Florida are actively searching for one of boxing’s most recognizable names. As per a recent statement, Miami Gardens Police confirmed that they are working alongside the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate WBA lightweight champion Gervonta “Tank” Davis following the issuance of an arrest warrant connected to an alleged domestic violence incident.

The announcement came during a formal press conference, a clip of which was shared on X by Happy Punch. Authorities confirmed that Davis is wanted on multiple charges stemming from an incident reported in late October.

During the briefing, Miami Gardens Police detailed the timeline, “Out of respect for the victim’s rights and privacy, the victim’s identity will not be released in accordance with Marcy’s law.  On October 29th, 2025, at approximately 2.15 PM, the victim entered the Miami Gardens Police Department accompanied by her attorney to report an incident that occurred on October 27th, 2025.”

According to the victim’s statement, the alleged incident occurred at approximately 4:15 a.m. while she was at work at a gentlemen’s club in Miami Gardens. Police stated that Davis allegedly approached the woman and used physical force.

Police further stated that once the two reached the parking garage, Davis allegedly released her, allowing the victim to run toward coworkers for safety.

Investigators also addressed the relationship between the two parties. According to police, the victim reported that she had known Davis since 2022 and that the pair were previously involved in an intimate relationship for approximately five months, which ended about one month before the alleged incident.

A key component of the investigation involved video evidence. Lead detective Gary Florencio reviewed surveillance footage from the location, which police say supports portions of the victim’s account. “The investigation determined that Mr. Davis used force to restrain and attempt to remove the victim from the location against her will,” police said.

As a result, an arrest warrant was issued charging Davis with battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping. At the time of the press conference, police confirmed that Gervonta Davis had not yet been taken into custody.

“At this time, the Miami Gardens Police Department is actively working with the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend Mr. Davis,” MGPD executive officer Emmanuel Jeanty stated. “The Miami Gardens Police Department remains committed to holding offenders accountable and protecting victims.” Additional context surrounding the case has since emerged.

More details emerge about Gervonta Davis’s situation after the arrest warrant was issued

After the breakup, police say the victim took deliberate steps to cut contact. She “blocked all forms of communication with Mr. Davis after the relationship ended,” MGPD executive officer Jeanty confirmed. That detail matters because it establishes context for why the encounter on October 27 was described as unexpected and unwanted in the victim’s statement.

The criminal investigation is also closely aligned with a civil lawsuit already on file. Speaking to ESPN, attorney Jeff Chukwuma, who represents the victim, said the police findings mirror what was alleged in the complaint. “What the police said is exactly in line with our lawsuit,” Chukwuma stated. “So whatever investigation they did, they determined it was enough to get a judge to sign off on an arrest warrant.”

He added, “The state attorney had to make the determination before, which coincides exactly with our civil complaint.” Timing has also become a notable factor in the broader picture.

The lawsuit was filed roughly two weeks before Davis was scheduled to face Jake Paul in a high-profile boxing match at the Kaseya Center in Miami. That bout never materialized. Davis was pulled from the event, and Paul instead fought Anthony Joshua in December.

What does this mean for Davis moving forward? His legal history provides some context, though each case stands on its own. While several cases were ultimately dropped, he was sentenced in 2023 to 90 days of house arrest and three years of probation stemming from a hit-and-run case in Baltimore.

At this stage, authorities have not said whether the current allegations could impact that probation. As of now, it remains unclear whether the latest charges constitute a violation. Law enforcement officials have emphasized that the investigation is ongoing, and further clarity is expected once Davis is located and brought before the court.

Canelo Alvarez comeback fight confirmed as ‘surprise world title shot’

The return of Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez is official.

The Mexican icon lost his undisputed super middleweight crown to Terence Crawford in September of last year. Waving off any talk of retirement, he was understood to be targeting a rematch before the American pound-for-pound star announced his own hanging up of the gloves. Canelo, it has now been confirmed, will fight on without the opportunity for revenge.

Speaking on social media when making the announcement, Saudi Arabia’s Chairman of General Entertainment Authority and boxing power broker, Turki Alalshikh, confirmed the date, location and high stakes.

“The 12th of September, a big, big, big fight. And this will be the first card for Canelo Promotions. It will be named ‘Mexico Against the World.’ All the fighters from the team of Canelo against the world. And [Alvarez] in the main event [for] a world title, and it will be a surprise in Saudi Arabia, in sha Allah.”

Canelo remains well ranked with all four sanctioning bodies at super middleweight – number one with the WBO, WBA and WBC and three with the IBF – and will not struggle to land a title shot assuming he chooses to remain in the division.

With Crawford retiring, the gold has been scattered and orders are already in place for contenders to battle for the vacant belts. Hamzah Sheeraz sits in pole position, being given the choice to face Christian Mbilli for the WBC or Diego Pacheco for the WBO. Cuba’s Osleys Iglesias will fight for the vacant IBF and awaits the next available ranked fighter after Canelo turned down the opportunity due to not being ready in time.

More information on the main event and undercard is expected in the coming weeks.

Anthony Joshua Back in Boxing Training Following Tragic Car Crash

Anthony Joshua is seen on video returning to boxing training for the first time since a tragic car accident just a few weeks ago.

On the 29th of December 2025, Joshua was a passenger in a Lexus SUV on Nigeria’s Lagos–Ibadan Expressway when it crashed into a stationary truck while overtaking. Two members of his team—trainer Latif ‘Latz’ Ayodele and strength coach Sina Ghami—were killed. Joshua suffered minor injuries.

It came at a time when Joshua had just fought Jake Paul — finally knocking him out late in the fight, after having broken his jaw — was linked with two bouts in 2026, beginning in February against the kickboxing phenom Rico Verhoeven and then building toward a Battle of Britain involving Tyson Fury.

If AJ’s recent footage is an indication, any speculation he may retire appears to have been premature, and we could still see the two-fight swing he was linked with in recent weeks.

Joshua is widely regarded one of Britain’s most successful boxers as he’s a silver medal winner from the World Amateur Championships, gold medal winner from the 2012 Olympic Games, and won the world heavyweight championship as a pro, twice, with victories over the likes of Roberto Cammarelle, Zhilei Zhang, Wladimir Klitschko, Joseph Parker, and Francis Ngannou, among many others.

Joshua, following the incident at the end of 2025, was taken to hospital for checks and treatment for minor injuries but discharged as he was in stable condition and could recuperate at home. In the footage below, Joshua described his boxing training as “mental strength therapy.”

This follows a statement Joshua made on social media. “Thank you for all the love and care you have shown my brothers,” he said. “I didn’t even realise how special they are. I’ll just be walking with them and cracking jokes with them, not even knowing God kept me in the presence of great men. 100% it’s tough for me, but I know it’s even tougher for their parents. Unbeaten former world champion vows to KO Gervonta Davis

Gervonta Davis is one of the most fearsome knockout artists in the sport but there is one undefeated former world champion that believes that he can dispatch of Davis inside of the distance and give ‘Tank’ a taste of his own medicine.

A three-division world champion, Davis has shown that his power is genuine by continuing to secure stoppage wins across multiple weight classes, but the Baltimore-born brute has come under fire of late.

‘Tank’ has not won a fight since June 2024, with his solitary outing since that contest being a controversial draw against fellow American Lamont Roach Jr.

JUST IN: How Terence Crawford’s Retirement and Canelo Alvarez’s Absence

Now, there is a growing belief that external factors have played a part in the decline of Davis, and his consideration of retirement speaks volumes about his remaining love for the sport.

Still, the southpaw sensation remains undefeated, but former WBO lightweight ruler Keyshawn Davis told The Last Stand Podcast that he believes he could put an end to Davis’ 31-fight unbeaten streak.

“I think that I would knock Tank out. He’s too small and I can really punch and I’m really smart bro, I’m super smart. I just feel like I’m Tank’s kryptonite, I really do feel that way.

“I am the last person on Tank’s list. I got a worst mentality than him and he knows this. What people don’t realise is that I sparred Tank when I was like 16 years old and we were about to fight outside of the ring.

“Tank already knows what kind of mentality I am coming with. I got that s**t that he got, but my s**t is a little bit worse, honestly.”

‘The Businessman’is due to face Jamaine Ortiz on Saturday, January 31, on the Lopez-Stevenson undercard for his first outing at super-lightweight. Although, it is understood that he may then move up to welterweight, despite just one outing at 140lbs.

Terence Crawford’s Retirement and Canelo Alvarez’s Absence Triggers WBO to Issue Official Notice

Back-to-back developments have cast a spell of uncertainty on the super middleweight division. Hopes of stability renewed when Terence Crawford dethroned Canelo Alvarez, who had been ruling the weight class since 2021. But Crawford’s surprise retirement put 168 pounds into a state of disarray. It now requires the heavy hand of sanctioning bodies to get things moving.

One such instance came to light recently. Last month, the WBO ordered top-ranked contenders Hamzah Sheeraz (2nd) and Diego Pacheco (3rd) to complete negotiations for their title that fell vacant after Crawford retired. However, the two camps failed to reach an agreement before the deadline, leaving the Puerto Rico-based body with no choice but to issue a purse bid notice.

With Canelo and Crawford out, Sheeraz and Pacheco get the call

WBO shared the details on social media. “Purse Bid Notice—Vacant WBO Super Middleweight Championship Contest Hamzah Sheeraz vs. Diego Pacheco,” the subject read. WBO President Gustavo Olivieri told the media, “As the parties have been unable to reach an agreement within the allotted time, the (WBO) will proceed with purse bid proceedings, in accordance with its regulations.”

Details regarding the match date, time, and venue where the fight will potentially take place shall be revealed later, it seems. On December 22, the WBO instructed Sheeraz – ranked No. 2 by the WBC, No. 4 by the WBA, and No. 5 by the IBF – and Pacheco – ranked No. 6 by the WBC, No. 9 by the WBA, and No. 8 by the IBF – to begin negotiations for the vacant title. They received a 20-day deadline to finalize.

Promoted by Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotion, Sheeraz drew a match with Carlos Adames for the WBC middleweight title on the Bivol-Beterbiev card. Later, delivering one of 2025’s standout performances, he knocked out Edgar Berlanga at a super middleweight non-title bout. Matchroom Boxing’s Pacheco, on the other hand, continued his 25-win streak, winning three fights, all by unanimous decision, last year.

With the purse bid scheduled for Monday, January 19, at its San Juan, Puerto Rico, headquarters, the WBO set a minimum bid of $300,000.

168 pounds enters a new era without Canelo and Crawford

WBO’s measure is the latest in a division facing disorder ever since two of its biggest stars underwent career-defining moments. Canelo Alvarez suffered his first defeat since the 2022 loss to Dmitry Bivol, but the impact of the loss at the Allegiant Stadium was felt across the boxing world.

The momentum clearly shifted away from Canelo. With David Benavidez claiming the Cinco de Mayo slot for his title shot, it’s become increasingly clear Canelo’s hold on the spotlight had weakened. Elbow surgery following the Crawford fight has kept him out of the ring indefinitely. A tentative comeback is now being targeted for September this year.

Things could have moved smoothly had Terence Crawford continued his undisputed championship. But the WBC’s decision to strip him of their title for nonpayment of the sanctioning fee left him an unified champion. Later, instead of defending the title, Crawford decided to hang up the gloves.

Now WBA’s Jose Resendiz remains the only formal titleholder at 168 pounds. While WBC plans to put on a fight between interim champion Christian M’billi and Hamzah Sheeraz, the division’s IBF title continues to remain vacant.

Arrest warrant reveals chilling details of Gervonta Davis’ alleged treatment of woman

Law enforcement documents which led to an arrest warrant for WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis Wednesday describe his alleged abusive treatment of a woman who sustained physical injuries before fleeing his alleged attempt to abduct her.

Baltimore’s Davis, 31, is being sought by police in Miami Gardens, Florida, it was announced at a news conference Wednesday. It’s a hunt that imperils not only the WBA lightweight champion’s freedom but whether he will fight again any time soon.

The documents reviewed by BoxingScene show that Davis is facing counts of battery, false imprisonment and attempted kidnapping for his alleged October 27 abuse of the woman, who has already sued the unbeaten three-division champion for physically injuring and threatening her after entering her workplace around 4:15 a.m.

“The victim stated that the subject [Davis] grabbed her by her hair with one hand and grabbed her by the throat with the other,” Miami Gardens police detective Gary Florencio told Miami-Dade County judge Andrea R. Wolfson last week.

“She further stated that [Davis] escorted her down the stairway and toward the VIP parking garage, while maintaining his grip on her head and neck. During the incident, [Davis] allegedly stated, ‘You think that I would not find you?’”

The woman, whose name was redacted in documents reviewed by BoxingScene, told police she has known Davis since 2022 and was in a relationship with him for five months.

“She stated the relationship ended one month prior to the incident,” Judge Wolfson wrote in the statement of facts in support of the arrest warrant. “She subsequently blocked all forms of communication with him. [She] advised there is a history of unreported domestic violence between them.

“[She] stated she sustained minor injuries, including bruising to her left arm, from when [Davis] grabbed her, which was visible at the time of the report. She confirmed she sought medical attention for her injuries.”

Police said they photographed the woman’s injuries.

During the incident, police said the woman “tried to calm [Davis] down, but he kept asking her who she thought she was ignoring him. [Davis] told [the woman] she was leaving him and he did not care what she had to say,” after she previously ended the relationship.

Davis was in trouble earlier this year in another domestic violence episode that led to the scrapping of his planned summer rematch against Washington’s Lamont Roach Jnr, who fought Davis to a draw March 1 at New York’s Barclays Center.

As they neared the parking garage, Davis told the woman he was taking her with him, she told police, and she warned him there were cameras in the garage, police said. When Davis let her go to retrieve his vehicle, the woman “took this opportunity to run back inside and tell her manager what had happened,” according to the arrest warrant statement.

“She also showed me text messages she had received in the past from [Davis] threatening her with death,” Detective Florencio informed the judge.

Police said garage video obtained November 3 “corroborated the details in [the woman’s] statement.

“In the videos, [police can] see [Davis] approach [her] and grab her by her hair. … [Davis] is seen pushing and forcing [the woman] down the stairs. … One clip shows [Davis] grabbing the [alleged] victim’s hoodie and pulling her in the direction he wants her to go. In another clip, [Davis holds the woman] by the back of the neck, leading her through an empty part of the club. The final video [shows] … [the woman] is able to run away.”

Three possible witnesses were observed on the video, police said.

One reported witnessing a prior incident when “[Davis] grabbed [the alleged victim] by the neck at a club in Miami Beach.

Detective Florencio said there’s sufficient probable cause to arrest Davis because he “used force to abduct [the woman] and in the process battered her. [Davis] did not release [the woman] and his intent was to make her leave the location with him against her will.”

Davis hasn’t fought since the March draw, as contenders and their handlers await a decision from his promoter, Premier Boxing Champions, and the WBA regarding his status.

Multiple attempts by to reach PBC officials Wednesday were unsuccessful.

Promoter Oscar De La Hoya, who represents the WBA’s top-ranked contender Floyd Schofield Jnr, said it’s time for the WBA to strip Davis of his belt.

“I really do hope and wish Gervonta Davis gets his act together because, as a fighter, he is very talented, and I admire him inside the ring,” De La Hoya told BoxingScene.

“But it is now time for the WBA to do the right thing and position Floyd Schofield for the world title.”

Mike Tyson Flattening Floyd Mayweather Would Be a Boxing Disaster

An image of Mike Tyson flattening Floyd Mayweather would travel instantly. It would also leave a lasting mark on one of boxing’s cleanest legacies.

But even at 59 and 49, a Tyson knockout of Mayweather in Africa this March would not play as nostalgia. It would read as a business decision that went too far, putting a hole in a record that has been protected for decades for the cold, hard dollar.

Nothing about that outcome does anyone any good.

Mayweather’s brand was built on control
Mayweather’s legacy rests on calculation, preservation, and perfection: fifty wins, no losses, and a career shaped around denying opponents a defining moment.

That is why this kind of exhibition carries a different type of risk. If Mayweather hits the canvas, the debate will not center on rules or labels.

It will become a question of judgment: why one of the sharpest operators in boxing chose to expose his résumé to a heavyweight, long after his own competitive window closed.

A payday is easy to understand. The part that is harder to justify is the trade-off if the visuals turn against him.

The weight gap signals what the event is supposed to be
Mayweather agreeing to give away so much weight to Tyson is not a subtle detail. It suggests the contest is designed to look dangerous without becoming just that, a controlled night that resembles a glorified sparring session more than a real fight.

That is also why a knockout becomes the nightmare scenario. It would mean the one man expected to manage the pace and shape the evening could not.

If Tyson decides to go for it, the night can turn ugly
Tyson’s performance against Jake Paul suggested restraint and an understanding of the assignment. If the same approach carries into an exhibition, the event remains what it is intended to be: entertainment, contained and forgettable.

But if Tyson took it upon himself to go for it, the exhibition label would not protect anyone. The moment the illusion breaks, the fight stops being a curiosity and becomes a controversy.

In the worst case, it could carry the same kind of fallout Tyson created against Evander Holyfield, when spectacle crossed into something boxing could not comfortably explain away.

A Tyson knockout would not elevate the Baddest Man. It would not enhance Mayweather. It would not help boxing.

It would turn a carefully managed legacy into a clip, by choice, and not by necessity.
