Tiger Woods’ Biggest Career Regret Revealed as Injury Debate Returns

The shock over Tiger Woods’ latest back surgery has not left the golf world. And no wonder. The news came just as fans were fantasizing about Woods’ imminent return, as he appeared to have recovered from his Achilles tendon injury last March.

This new health setback for the 15-time major champion has sparked intense debate in the golf world. One of the most far-reaching questions revolves around why Woods has been injured so many times in his career.

The injuries have certainly been omnipresent throughout most of Woods’ professional golf career. He just underwent his seventh back surgery alone.

Golf Insider Reveals Tiger Woods’ Biggest Career Regret Amid Latest Surgery

JUST IN: Tiger Woods facing brutal career milestone

Naturally, there are multiple causes for this phenomenon. However, golf insider Dan Rapaport recently revealed that Woods himself identifies a detail from his past as one of the main causes.

“I remember a conversation that I had with Tiger (Woods) at one point,” Rapaport said in a recent episode of his Dan on Golf podcast, “where I was like, ‘When you look back on all your injuries, is there one thing that you would tell yourself not to do, one thing you regret’, and he said, ‘Yes, I shouldn’t have run so much’. He used to run miles and miles a day, and his knee took a beating.”

Woods has been unable to play during the current season, apart from a few TGL matches at the beginning of the year. His last competitive appearance on a golf course was at the 2024 PNC Championship, where he finished second, teaming up with his son Charlie.

His last official tournament was the 2024 Open Championship, where he missed the cut.

This is undoubtedly an issue that Woods has thought about at length. In 2016, almost 10 years ago, he was already answering questions on this topic. At that time, he said he regretted not continuing his college golf career for an additional year.

“If you look back, the only regret I have in life is not staying another year at Stanford,” he said during an interview with “CBS Morning.”

“I wish I would have done. I’ve learned that all the things I’ve been through are tough, yes, they’ve been tough, but they’ve been great for me, but I wish I would have gone one more year at Stanford.”

Videos posted on social media showed Woods swinging golf clubs in early September at the Nexus Cup. This sparked excitement among fans, who were hopeful that he would make a comeback during one of the unofficial tournaments at the end of the year.

Unfortunately, we will have to keep waiting.

Serena & Venus Williams Just Met with a Royal—and It’s Not Who You’d Expect

Venus and Serena Williams are back together—but not on the tennis court this time. The iconic sisters recently launched a new podcast called Stockton Street, a nod to the street in Compton, California, where the tennis legends grew up. The show dives into their careers, their bond as sister and the life lessons they’ve picked up along the way. And in the latest episode? A surprise royal guest.

Venus, 45, and Serena, 44, sat down with none other than Emma Thynn, a British socialite, fashion model and the first Black Marchioness in British history, a title she earned in 2020. The episode, titled “Being the First – with a little tea,” runs just under 35 minutes and features a candid, inspiring conversation between the trio.

“Venus and Serena visit Emma Thynn, Britain’s first Black Marchioness, at Longleat Estate,” the video’s description reads. “They discuss breaking boundaries, self-care, and passing life lessons to the next generation.”

So now we officially know what Serena was up to when she posted those stunning red dress pics just a few days prior to releasing the episode.

In a carousel posted to Instagram on October 12, the WYN Beauty founder rocked a slim-fitting red mini dress with a structured bodice and tailored skirt. She paired it with blush pink pointed-toe pumps. But let’s be real, her daughter Adira totally stole the spotlight, adorably photobombing every shot.

Williams captioned the post, “Just a mom trying to take a picture, but I keep getting photobombed,” sparking sweet comments like, “They just love being with their mommy, and you do such a great job being that great mom. We love you, Serena” and “Can’t block the serve.”

Looks like I need to set aside a half-hour to listen to the tea from the royal and tennis legends.

In one of the most viral moments of Super Bowl LIX, Serena Williams crip-walked to Kendrick Lamar’s Drake diss track “Not Like Us.”

Now, her dance moves have earned her another high-profile gig. The tennis legend gets to appear on Bridgerton, according to none other than executive producer Shonda Rhimes.

Serena’s Bridgerton Audition

When you’re known as the GOAT in your sport and a global icon, landing a TV role looks different than it does for the rest of us. Williams’ “audition” was really just a fun Instagram reel that she made with Rhimes. The Grey’s Anatomy creator wanted to do the Stephanie Mills challenge, and she convinced Williams to join her in dancing to “Never Knew Love Like This Before.”

“I told Serena she could be an extra in Bridgerton if she was my backup dancer,” Rhimes wrote over the video.

As the writer lip-synced with her 2015 book, Year of Yes, as a faux microphone, Williams gave a wholehearted effort in the background. “My girl @serenawilliams don’t play about @bridgertonnetflix !!” Rhimes wrote in her caption, before adding that it was “SO fun.”

Fans applauded Williams in the comments, including longtime Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo. “She understands the assignment,” she wrote. The official Shondaland account added, “We MUST make haste…to casting!”

Friends And Fans

Both women appreciate each other’s work. While Williams is enthusiastic enough to dance for a guest spot on Rhimes’ show, Rhimes is hugely admiring of the retired tennis player. Speaking to Bustle earlier in October, she said she’s the biggest fan of the Williams sisters.

“What Venus and Serena have accomplished is amazing,” Rhimes said. “The people that they are and have continued to be, are really amazing and impressive.”

In fact, when it came time to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Year of Yes, she got Williams to host her tour event in Philadelphia on Oct. 13. That’s where they filmed their dance video, and afterward, Rhimes posted photos on Instagram and shared how much fun she had.

“I couldn’t have asked for a better night,” she wrote. “Philly, you were incredible!! Thank you for showing up with so much love and energy.”

She also added a special shoutout to Williams: “And a HUGE thank you to the legend and icon @serenawilliams for sharing this moment with me, truly making it a night to remember (Serena is so funny, y’all!). I am forever grateful.”

Bridgerton Season 4 premieres in January, so assuming it all works out, Season 5 may be the soonest we can expect to see Williams join the ton.

Serena Williams Flaunts Her Figure in New Snaps After Dropping 31 Pounds

Serena Williams is feeling herself once again!

The former professional tennis player and Olympic gold medalist, 43, took to Instagram on Monday to share a series of stunning photos that featured her standing on a balcony in satin swimwear and a matching robe. With her long, blonde hair done in tight curls, the iconic athlete smiled brightly in the photos, which came just a few days after a more cryptic social media post that Williams posted, noting that she was focusing on her mental health.

“Dressed to the nines… and on cloud nine. In satin swimwear of course,” the beauty captioned the photos.

The athlete, who has two daughters, Alexis Olympia, 8, and Adira, 2, with husband Alexis Ohanian, made headlines last month with her announcement that she lost 31 pounds using a GLP-1 medication.

Serena Williams is a Celebrity Ambassador for Ro

Williams partnered with the telehealth company Ro as a patient and celebrity ambassador to lose the 31 pounds after struggling with losing weight after the birth of her second child. Her husband, Ohanian, is an investor in the company. He is also the co-founder of Reddit.

Williams Had a ‘Difficult August’

Earlier this month, Williams appeared to be struggling a bit when she posted a cryptic message to social media about focusing on her mental health. While the tennis icon looked stunning in a series of photos that featured her in a red silk dress in a library, the caption was a bit more mysterious.

“Dearest gentle reader, My summer started out well but I was plunged into a difficult August. Like many of you, I faced challenges that tested my spirit and resilience. Life can sometimes feel overwhelming and it’s easy to lose sight of what truly matters—your mental health and well-being. I took some time away to breathe, to reconnect with myself, and to remember that it’s perfectly okay to pause and reconnect. Even if it’s just a quiet night to yourself. Anything counts,” she wrote in the caption.

She went on to say that she “learned that the end of a matter is better than its beginning. And even though things haven’t reached their end yet, I’m also learning to let go and live life one moment at a time. The only thing I’m dealing with in this moment here is how good this dress looks against first editions.”

Tennis champion Serena Williams has not been shy about her weight loss journey and how she is doing it.

The athlete and mom, 43, revealed early into her venture that she was unapologetically taking Ozempic, a GLP-1 drug that gained popularity for its pound-shedding side effects.

In a new Instagram post, Williams is showing off her stunning weight loss in a gorgeous figure-fitting red dress.

“Just a mom trying to take a picture but I keep getting photobombed,” she joked of her images that also featured her daughter in the background. Williams has dropped over 31 pounds, and fans have certainly begun to notice.

“So beautiful, powerful, an example of a strong and beautiful woman inside,” said one fan.

“You look so healthy and happy, beautiful lady,” complimented another.

Why Serena Williams Went on Ozempic

In an exclusive with People, Williams gave a candid answer as to why she, as an athlete, needed the assistance of the GLP-1 to reach her weight goals postpartum.

“I never was able to get to the weight I needed to be no matter what I did, no matter how much I trained,” she admitted. “It was crazy because I’d never been in a place like that in my life where I worked so hard, ate so healthy, and could never get down to where I needed to be.”

“I had never taken shortcuts in my career and always worked really hard. I know what it takes to be the best,” she continued. “So it was very frustrating to do all the same things and never be able to change that number on the scale or the way my body looked.”

The mom is cognizant of how controversial her decision to go on the medication is. However, she did research for herself and consulted with a doctor to affirm she was doing what was best for her body and its specific needs. She’s also hyper-aware that she needs to be vigilant about body image issues when it comes to her two girls.

With me going through what I’ve went through growing up in public and just having millions of people commenting on my body, it’s really important to teach them to be confident at any size, just like I try to be,” she told People. “I was looking back at pictures, whether I was smaller or thicker, and at that moment I felt so confident. And I looked great, too. So I just think it’s so important to love who you are. You’ll never get that moment back. You don’t want to judge yourself when you’re just always showing up as your best.”

Coco Gauff Reacts to Angel Reese’s Stunning Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Debut

Coco Gauff recently reacted to Angel Reese’s impressive debut at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. The annual fashion event took place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Steiner Studios in New York City.

Reese is a professional basketball player who plays as a power forward for the Chicago Sky in the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA). She also played for the Rose BC in the Unrivaled basketball league, a league in which Gauff is an investor.

How Did Coco Gauff React to Angel Reese’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Look?

Reese made history by becoming the first professional athlete to walk the runway at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and she was also the first athlete ever chosen as a Victoria’s Secret “Angel.” To prepare for her walk, she worked with a runway coach, Alexander Aleson, and showcased two different looks during the event.

After the Victoria’s Secret fashion show concluded, Reese shared a series of pictures of both her outfits and posted a video of her runway walk on social media.

“first @victoriassecret fashion show 💗 ,” Reese captioned her Instagram post.

Reacting to Resse’s Victoria’s Secret fashion show look, Gauff took to social media and described the basketball star as “unreal.”

“unreal!!!” Gauff commented.

On the tennis side of things, Gauff most recently competed at the 2025 Wuhan Open, where she defeated Jessica Pegula in the final to claim the title, her third WTA 1000 title and her 11th career WTA Tour singles title.

Leading up to her title run in Wuhan, the World No. 3 participated in the 2025 China Open as the defending champion. She won the title in 2024 by defeating Karolína Muchová in the final, but this year, she reached the semifinals before losing to eventual winner Amanda Anisimova.

Gauff Drew Heartwarming Reaction From Reese for Winning French Open 2025

Earlier this year, after Gauff won her second singles Grand Slam title at the 2025 French Open, she received a heartfelt reaction from basketball star Reese. The World No. 3 was seeded second at the clay-court Grand Slam, and she began her campaign by defeating Olivia Gadecki, qualifier Tereza Valentová, Marie Bouzkova, and 20th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova in the first four rounds, respectively.

In the quarterfinals, Gauff overcame compatriot and seventh seed Madison Keys and advanced to the finals by eliminating wild card Loïs Boisson in the semifinals. In the championship match, she triumphed over top seed Aryna Sabalenka to win her first French Open singles title.

Gauff’s title victory at Roland Garros drew a reaction from Reese, who took to social media to praise the World No. 3’s achievement, referring to her as “the queen.”

Gauff had previously won the doubles title at the French Open. In 2024, she teamed up with Kateřina Siniaková and defeated the Italian duo of Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini in the final to secure the title.

Tiger Woods Left Former ESPN Host Completely ‘Freaking Out’ in Hilarious Encounter

The Ritz Carlton lobby in Atlanta, 2003. A flip phone in hand. A text from Stuart Scott promising lunch with “somebody you probably want to hang out with.” For Trey Wingo, what followed was 15 minutes that combined his most incredible fanboy moment with his most embarrassing elevator encounter—all thanks to Tiger Woods and Michael Jordan.

The longtime ESPN broadcaster recently shared this hilarious story on GOLF’s Subpar podcast with hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz. Wingo admitted he’s always been Tiger’s biggest fan. He even keeps a computer file documenting all 82 of Woods’ tournament victories. So when Scott texted him during the 2003 NBA All-Star weekend in Atlanta, Wingo had no idea he was about to meet his hero.

Tiger Woods

Wingo arrived at the restaurant and found Scott in a back booth. Then he turned around. Tiger Woods was sitting right there having lunch. The moment Wingo processed what was happening, Tiger looked up casually. “Hey, Trey,” Woods said.

Inside, Wingo was having a complete meltdown. Outside, he tried playing it cool. “I’m like, ‘Oh, oh, hey, Tiger. How are you?’” he recalled. “You know, I tried to be really cool, you know, just like freaking out.” They stayed for about 20 minutes before Woods and Scott had to leave. Meanwhile, Wingo couldn’t believe the world’s number one golfer knew him by name.

Now, picture what happened next. Wingo races out of the restaurant with his flip phone ready. He’s dying to call his dad about having lunch with Tiger Woods. The elevator doors open. Instead of waiting like a normal person, Wingo barges right in. He runs smack into what he describes as “a wall of a human being.” He looks up. Michael Jordan stares down at him.

“Wingo, watch where you’re going,” Jordan says. All Wingo can manage is, “Michael, sorry, that’s on me, it’s my bad.” In February 2003, Woods held eight major championships and was dominating the game of golf. Jordan, at 40 years old, was making his 14th and final All-Star appearance. Both legends were at the peak of their influence. Wingo literally crashed into both within 15 minutes.

“I got Tiger and the MJ in like a 15-minute span,” Wingo said. “I was like, ‘Yeah, I could die today. This is good.’” The hosts agreed he’d captured “half of the Mount Rushmore” in one afternoon.

Stuart Scott’s legacy as sports media’s ultimate connector

This unforgettable moment wouldn’t have happened without Stuart Scott. The legendary SportsCenter anchor, who passed away in January 2015, possessed a unique ability to unite people. His casual text to Wingo—“come down, I’m having lunch with somebody you probably want to hang out with”—perfectly captured his approach to relationships in sports media.

Scott joined ESPN in 1993 and quickly became one of the network’s signature anchors. By 2003, he’d built genuine connections with athletes across every sport through his authentic approach and cultural understanding. LeBron James later praised Scott for giving “inner city kids someone we could relate to that wasn’t a player but was close enough to them.” NFL player Keyshawn Johnson credited Scott with bringing “that hip-hop culture, that urban feel, to television sports broadcasting.”

Scott’s ability to facilitate these connections extended far beyond the camera. He regularly brought together broadcasters and athletes in informal settings, creating moments that transcended professional relationships. His interviews with Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and even Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama demonstrated his unique access and genuine rapport with significant figures. The lunch at the Ritz-Carlton represented exactly how Scott operated—casually connecting people and creating memories that lasted for decades.

Wingo’s reaction also proves something about sports media. Even accomplished broadcasters never lose their inner fan. The same guy who spent 23 years at ESPN hosting flagship shows like NFL Live became a starstruck kid when Tiger Woods recognized his name. Stuart Scott understood this perfectly. He created spaces where that fanboy excitement could coexist with professional excellence.

Serena Williams Turns Heads in Red Dress (and Baby Adira Makes an Appearance Too)

From eye-catching slip dresses to bold cutout numbers, Serena Williams certainly knows how to serve (pun intended).

The sports legend and WYN Beauty founder frequently showcases her style on Instagram, and on October 12, she posted a carousel of photos of her posing in a slim-fitting red mini dress that featured a fitted bodice and tailored skirt. Pairing her dress with light pink pointed-toe pumps, Williams looked spectacular as usual, but it was her daughter, Adira, who stole the show, as she adorably photobombed every single picture her mom took.

Williams captioned the post, “Just a mom trying to take a picture, but I keep getting photobombed,” which prompted some heartwarming responses from fans. “They just love being with their mommy, and you do such a great job being that great mom. We love you, Serena,” commented one, with others chiming in, “Awww, so sweet … she’s a cutie pie,” and “Can’t block the serve.”

This isn’t the first time the tennis legend and her daughter have showcased sweet mother-daughter moments. Earlier this year, Williams shared a picture of Adira perched on her hip, as she used her free hand to hold a racket. Dressed in black pants, sneakers, a white jacket and a matching hat, the 44-year-old looked like she was ready to get back on the court, with Adira watching her every move.

“I never thought I would have to carry my doubles partner,” Williams captioned the post, adding,  “Subscribe to watch an epic video of me practicing with @adiraohanian…Caution, don’t try this at home.”

“I need to see you at the US Open. Playing,” one person commented, with another writing, “ IT’S TIME FOR A COMEBACK !!!”

The retired tennis star, 43, Serena Williams, continues to inspire fans around the world.

She is currently embracing her journey of self-love and empowerment. The tennis legend recently shared new photos that showcase her confidence and style, marking another powerful moment in her post-retirement era.

Serena Williams is living her best life

Serena Williams‘ recent photos on Instagram reflect her posing gracefully in a long, olive-brown gown featuring a high neckline and a black leather belt that accentuates her waist. The photos, taken against a minimal beige background, highlight her elegance and poise.

Furthermore, she continues to forge a dynamic path post-tennis. She continues to demonstrate that “living her best life” doesn’t mean a life free of challenges, but one defined by resilience, growth, and purpose. Recently, she became a minority owner in the Toronto Tempo, Canada’s first WNBA franchise, committing to influence jersey design and merchandise strategies.

This move underscores her dedication to women’s sports and marks her transition from champion athlete to sports entrepreneur. In another stride, Serena has partnered with telehealth company Ro as a celebrity ambassador for GLP-1 weight-loss treatments. Open about her own journey, she revealed that she lost 31 pounds using such therapy. She framed it as an addition, not a shortcut, to her long-standing efforts in fitness and health.

Even as she steps into business and wellness realms, Serena remains in public spotlight. At the ATHLOS all-women’s athletics gathering in New York, she crowned Jamaican sprint legend Shelly-Ann Fraser Pryce with a Tiffany crown, celebrating athletic legacy and women’s achievement.

Meanwhile, as per People, her husband, Alexis Ohanian, publicly confronted commentator Stephen A. Smith. It happened over critical remarks about Serena’s Super Bowl halftime appearance. He reportedly defended her autonomy.

Thus, despite scrutiny, physical changes, and the pressures of legacy, Serena appears to lean into life with intention. She uses her platform to bridge sport and entrepreneurship, owns her wellness choices, and addresses criticism with support.

Billionaire Alexis Ohanian took a thinly-veiled swipe at ESPN pundit Stephen A. Smith following his suggestion that Ohanian should consider divorcing his wife, Serena Williams, after her Super Bowl Halftime Show appearance.

The tennis icon caused quite the stir on social media when she joined Kendrick Lamar onstage during his performance at Super Bowl LIX in February.

She began crip walking to the diss track “Not Like Us”, which is about Drake, with whom she previously had a romantic relationship. Following the controversial Halftime Show, Smith criticised Williams for “trolling” her ex and hinted that he would divorce the tennis icon if they were married. However, several months later, it appears that Ohanian has had the last laugh.

Serena Williams Alexis Ohanian

JUST IN: How Coco Gauff Matches Serena Williams’ Hardcourt Record

During an appearance on ‘First Take’ this week, Ohanian advised Smith to stick to what he knows best.

“You hadn’t been married before, right? Cause I give advice to plenty of founders who want to build billion-dollar companies. And the reason I do that is because I build billion-dollar companies,” the Reddit founder retorted.

“So I generally try to stay in my lane in the advice department.”

In February, Smith questioned Williams’ decision to participate in a Drake diss track despite being married to Ohanian since 2017.

“You could say give her props,” he commented. “If I’m your husband, why are you up there trolling your ex?

“If I’m married and my wife is going to join trolling her ex, go back to his a**, because clearly you don’t belong with me. What you worried about him for and you’re with me? Bye bye.”

His fellow analyst Ryan Clark quickly jumped to Williams’ defence, stating: “If you’re with Serena Williams you’re going to be a kept man anyway.”

Smith’s comments sparked a wave of online backlash, leading him to somewhat retract his statements. “Please go back and look at exactly what I said. I was talking overall from a man’s perspective – highlighting what most men would think,” he posted.

“I didn’t utter a single disrespectful word about Serena. No issues with folks getting upset of literal serious stuff one’s p***** about. This doesn’t qualify peeps. Come on. We were joking around on @FirstTake. Damn y’all! It’s not that serious.”

As to why Smith remains unmarried, the 57-year-old attributes his single status to his demanding work schedule. “I know that it’s hard, I know that it’s worn on some people as well,” he admitted.

“It is the reason why I’ve never been married, because I was on the road 200 days out of the year and the fact of the matter is at that time it was no way in hell I was going to be faithful.

“I knew that, so why the hell am I going to sit up there and violate my marital vows knowing ahead of time I ain’t going to honour them?”.
