Take one scroll through Serena Williams’s Instagram and you’ll see it all.

Everything from podcast clips with sister Venus, to behind-the-scenes peeks from her NikeSKIMS shoot, glam shots from Paris Fashion Week and sweet family moments with husband Alexis Ohanian and daughters Olympia and Adira. And while the content varies, one thing stays consistent—her style is on point.

Take one of her recent Instagram posts for example. In a video Serena, 44, posted on October 3, she’s wearing a bubblegum pink dress that’s serving Barbie dreams. It features a halter neckline with flowing fabric that drapes off her arms and a peek-a-boo cutout adds a flirty detail at the front. But the real showstopper? It’s totally backless.

She completed the look with voluminous, tight curls swept into a deep side part, a soft glam beat with plum lipstick and the perfect pop of blush.

“Call me EXTRA because I stay poppin’ — bubble gum that is,” she cheekily captioned the post.

Of course, this isn’t Serena’s first time slaying in pink.

Earlier this year, she lit up a pink carpet wearing a bold Off-White gown from the late Virgil Abloh’s Fall/Winter 2022 collection. The floor-length dress featured long sleeves, a high neckline, and a sleek side cutout. She paired it with hot pink mules and accessorized with a silver watch, stacked rings and sleek straight hair for that polished finish.

“As much as I love blue – did you know pink is my favorite color?!” she captioned the carousel post.

In short: Serena + pink = a perfect match. And she’s clearly not done proving it.

Which of Novak Djokovic & Serena Williams’ Grand Slam records is more likely to be broken?

Hall of Fame tennis coach Rick Macci has revealed which of Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams’ Open Era Grand Slam records he thinks is more likely to be broken.

Macci coached Serena Williams, Venus Williams, Jennifer Capriati, Maria Sharapova and Andy Roddick — all of whom went on to become world No 1. The seven-time USPTA national coach of the year also trained future major champions Mary Pierce, Anastasia Myskina and Sofia Kenin.

JUST IN: Serena Williams gets honest about insecurities early on in her career

The American began coaching Serena Williams in 1991, when she was 10 years old, and worked with the future legend until 1995.

Williams, who turned pro in 1995, won 23 major singles crowns — the most of any woman since the Open Era started in 1968 — before calling time on her remarkable career in 2022.

The American icon secured seven titles at both Wimbledon and the Australian Open, six US Open titles and three French Open titles.

Margaret Court is the only woman in tennis history to win more Grand Slam singles titles than Williams, having won 13 of her 24 majors before the Open Era.

On the men’s side, Djokovic holds the all-time record of 24 Grand Slam titles, with his most recent major triumph having come at the 2023 US Open.

The legendary Serb has won 10 Australian Opens, seven Wimbledon titles, four US Opens and three French Opens during a staggering 22-year pro career to date.

In an exclusive interview, Tennis365 asked Macci if he thinks Djokovic or Williams’ Grand Slam tallies will ever be surpassed.

“Listen, yeah I can see on the men’s side that being broken,” Macci declared.

“And I’m not saying it’s Carlos [Alcaraz] or [Jannik] Sinner, but they’re both off to amazing starts. And what I love is they love the game, they love the competition and they’re just so complete.

“So I can see them [getting to] double digits [Grand Slams], and from there, who knows how your body’s going to hold up as you get older.

“The women’s side is gonna be a little trickier because Serena played for a long time, just like Margaret Court, but that’s gonna be a little trickier.

“But then again, if you get someone, who’s a cut above, who checks every box, you could have someone come in there and dominate because the women’s game is very fluid and it’s wide open.”

Alcaraz, who is just 22, won his sixth Grand Slam title at the US Open last month. Sinner, 24, has secured four majors, with his most recent coming at Wimbledon in July.

Venus Williams remains the active WTA player with the most major singles titles, having won seven. Iga Swiatek, who is 24, won her sixth and most recent Slam at Wimbledon this year.

Serena Williams faces insecurities just like the rest of us.

In a conversation with her sister, Venus Williams, the 23-time Grand Slam champion, shared that she wasn’t confident in her playing ability.

“I sucked. I was bad. I didn’t have it,” Serena told Venus on their podcast Stockton Street. “I only hit lobs. Remember, I only hit lobs. I was terrible. I mean, even when I first turned pro, I was really bad. Not that I didn’t, but I just thought I wasn’t that good. I thought I could outlast people because I was small at the time. I thought I could outlast them and just be out there. And yeah, I never really thought about it.”

Their father, Richard Williams, who was their coach growing up, told the sisters to pick a major tournament they could win, and that would be their goal. Venus chose Wimbledon, and Serena also wanted that one as well, but ended up choosing the US Open.

“Then, when dad told us to pick a tournament to win so we could focus on the goal, you picked Wimbledon too. And then he said I needed to pick something different. So I picked the US Open, but I didn’t really think I would make it,” Serena admitted.

Despite not wanting to originally focus on the US Open as a goal instructed by her father, Serena went on to win the 1999 US Open for her first Grand Slam win. As for Venus, she ended up winning her first Wimbledon match in 2000 when she defeated Lindsay Davenport.

Their first wins were just the beginning of their monumental careers. Serena would go on to win 22 more Grand Slam titles, and Venus would win Wimbledon again the following year in 2001, as well as three more championships in 2005, 2007, and 2008. Serena also had success at Wimbledon, winning seven championships in her career (2002, 2003, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2015, and 2016).  Venus also found success at the US Open, winning back-to-back in 2000 and 2001.

When did Serena Williams and Venus Williams start their podcast?

The tennis pros announced their podcast last month, which is named after the street they grew up on. The sisters shared their reasoning behind starting the podcast is to share more with one another.

“As close as we are, we had to keep so many things distant because of our jobs,” Serena told the publication. “As much as she’s my sister, she’s also my opponent, and you can’t be as open as you want to be. So this a real opportunity to do something that we’ve been trying to do, and also just a discovery thing as well.”

Serena WIlliams shows off slender figure at Milan Fashion Week and set the internet ablaze in this tight dress

Serena Williams made a powerful style statement at Milan Fashion Week, turning heads in a form-fitting black dress that highlighted her slim figure. The retired tennis champion attended Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2026 show and short film premiere, joining a guest list that included Gwyneth Paltrow, Lila Moss, Alia Bhatt, and BTS’ Jin.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner stepped out in a semi-sheer black gown designed with feather trim at the neckline, sleeves, and hem. The look balanced elegance with bold detailing, allowing Williams to stand out even among fashion icons.

She later shared photos from the evening on Instagram, writing, “Only playing the cards I was dealt. @gucci,” giving followers an inside look at her Fashion Week experience. The post shows how adding texture to an otherwise simple silhouette can completely change the vibe of an outfit.

To recreate her look, try a sleek black maxi dress paired with feather-trimmed accessories for a touch of drama.

A fashion week highlight

Williams’ appearance was one of the most talked-about moments from the event. Despite a crowd filled with stars, she captured the spotlight with her sophisticated gown and confident presence. Fans praised her look on social media, calling her “stunning” and “elegant.”

Fellow athletes like Simone Biles and Caroline Wozniacki also chimed in with supportive comments. If you want to echo Serena’s style without going full couture, a floor-length gown with sheer sleeves or subtle paneling can give you the same refined look for a formal night out.

Her Fashion Week moment also reflects her expanding role in fashion. As the founder of Wyn Beauty and a frequent collaborator with global brands, Williams has carved out a presence that goes well beyond her tennis career.

Her transformation journey

The striking gown also highlighted Williams’ recent weight loss, which she has spoken about openly. She revealed losing over 30 pounds with the help of GLP-1 medication, a treatment developed to help manage blood sugar levels.

Williams admitted that after becoming a mother, she struggled to reach her desired weight despite training and healthy eating. “I never was able to get to the weight I needed to be, no matter how much I trained,” she shared.

Her look in Milan shows how the right silhouette can celebrate a new chapter, and a structured, fitted dress is an easy way to capture that same confidence.

Beyond the tennis court

Her look at Gucci underscores how she continues to evolve publicly. Instead of stepping away from the spotlight, she has built influence in beauty, fashion, and business.

For a more wearable approach to her runway-ready style, you could try a black slip dress and layer it with a standout coat or wrap for everyday elegance.

Final thoughts

Serena Williams’ Milan Fashion Week appearance was more than a red carpet moment. It highlighted her personal transformation, her evolving style, and her continued impact beyond sports. Whether on the tennis court or the runway, Williams proves she knows how to command attention.

Coco Gauff confirmed her place in the China Open semi-finals, and she did so by toppling a record by Serena and Venus Williams.

Gauff has led an American charge at the China Open and she continued her campaign with a quarter-final victory over Eva Lys.

The American defeated Lys in straight sets and she will face either Jasmine Paolini or Amanda Anisimova in the final four.

With her latest win, Gauff broke an impressive record that both Williams sisters had notched in their careers.

Coco Gauff reaches 11 WTA 1000 semi-finals younger than Venus and Serena Williams

Gauff’s China Open semi-final is the eleventh of her illustrious career and she’s reached them at a younger age than two of the greatest players of all time.

At 21 years and 195 days, the American has reached 11 semi-finals at a WTA 1000 event at a younger age than both of the Williams sisters.

Venus Williams achieved the feat at 21 years and 274 days, while Serena did so slightly younger at 21 years and 228 days.

The only two players to achieve the feat at a younger age than Gauff are Maria Sharapova and Martina Hingis.

Both of those stars captured five Grand Slam events, a feat Gauff may go on to achieve in her tennis career.

Coco Gauff continues incredible record at the China Open

The 2025 China Open is the American’s third time at the Beijing tournament, and she’s only suffered one loss so far.

The star is 14-1 in Beijing after winning the tournament in 2024 and reaching the semi-finals the year prior.

The only player to beat Gauff at the China Open is World No. 2 Iga Swiatek, who dispatched the American in straight sets in 2023.

Gauff has defeated the likes of Maria Sakkari, Paula Badosa, and Karolína Muchová throughout her dominant runs in Beijing.

Serena Williams’ husband defends her with rare statement following backlash

Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian, has spoken out in her defence following the backlash she faced last week. The tennis star went viral on social media after she shared a post on Instagram where she called out a New York City hotel for using “cotton as decoration”. “How do we feel about cotton as decoration? Personally, for me, it doesn’t feel great,” she wrote alongside a picture of herself with the cotton plant. “Feels like nail polish remover cotton,” she added. Many fans took to social media to share that Serena owned a cotton decoration herself.

The sculpture, titled Monument for a Promise, is owned by Serena and her husband. Created by the late artist Radcliffe Bailey, it depicts a donkey carrying a trunk atop a pile of cotton. Alexis first shared a photo of the sculpture in 2020, while Serena later revealed in a 2021 interview with Architectural Digest that the front room where it’s displayed is her “favorite part” of the house.

Following the controversy online, Alexis took to X to respond to the comments made towards his wife. “Folks entitled to have their opinions, but to use owning Radcliffe Bailey’s Monument for a Promise as some kind of a ‘gotchya’ is so breathtakingly stupid – there is some very obvious symbolism of the cotton in the artwork,” he penned.

He followed up by posting a screenshot of an AI-generated analysis of Radcliffe Bailey’s work, noting that the cotton represents both the history of slavery and the promise of a “brighter tomorrow”.

Alexis took his support a step further by surprising his wife with an enormous floral arrangement featuring dozens of red roses in a sleek white vase. In a clip shared to her Instagram Stories on Monday, Serena showed off the romantic gesture, posting a video of the stunning bouquet along with two red heart emojis and her husband’s Instagram handle.

The 44-year-old and her husband Alexis tied the knot in 2017 and welcomed their first daughter, Alexia Olympis Ohanian Jr., in September that year. Five years later, the couple were surprised with a second bundle of joy as Serena gave birth to their youngest child, Adira River Ohanian, in August 2023.

Bouqet of red roses

Despite her successful career, Serena revealed in an interview with Byrdie in April 2024 that what brings her the most happiness is her kids. “I can’t say that a Wimbledon trophy holds a candle to volunteering at my kid’s school. “I also hope my daughters see how many different passions I have – from tennis to beauty – and learn that they can lead dynamic careers and lives across their many interests,” she said.

Serena Williams Causes Stir With Complaint About Hotel’s Cotton Plant Decoration

Serena Williams courted curiosity after calling out what appears to be a hotel for its cotton plant decoration.

In an Instagram story she shared Thursday, the camera approaches the arrangement as Williams says, “All right, everyone, how do we feel about cotton as a decoration? Personally for me, it doesn’t feel great.”

In another story, she holds a piece of the cotton in her gloved hand. “So actually it feels like nail polish remover cotton,” she says, wiping her nails before making a cringing gesture.

Multipleoutlets covered the post as some of the obvious questions remained unanswered by the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion herself: Was she merely criticizing a design aesthetic or suggesting the cotton plant carried historical implications of racism?

HuffPost is attempting to reach her through multiple channels for comment.

Meanwhile, the internet is abuzz.

I feel like I put too much time on hold on having a kid and being married and stuff for boxing. We already have it planned out… I don’t want to wait till I’m 43.”

Two months ago, the GWOAT admitted she’s put off marriage and kids for too long while chasing championships. With both her and rapper Papoose experiencing failed relationships in the past, their bond today shines through, from him helping in her training sessions to constantly supporting her outside the ring. That respect and protectiveness showed again last week when Shields found herself in an uncomfortable spot.

Attending Terence Crawford’s historic showdown with Canelo Alvarez on September 13 at Allegiant Stadium, Claressa Shields was there to support ‘Bud’ as he became the first man in the four-belt era to capture undisputed status in three weight classes. But what was supposed to be a night of celebration turned uneasy when Claressa Shields was reportedly followed and wrongly approached by a fan. The situation prompted Papoose to step in, making sure his partner was safe and reminding everyone just how strong their bond really is.

Was Claressa Shields secretly caught on camera?

Yesterday, Claressa Shields shared a video on her YouTube channel, opening up about the strange encounter she had at the Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez fight. The three-division world champion explained that while she was chatting with J Prince, Abdullah Mason, and others, a man suddenly walked up to her and started calling her Serena Williams. “At first, I was like, huh?” Shields said. “The way he said it, I knew he knew I wasn’t Serena. Like, you know damn well my name is not Serena. And when have you ever seen Serena with orange hair?” She said the man repeatedly interrupted, calling her by the wrong name, even as she tried to brush him off and return to her conversation.

According to Shields, Papoose eventually stepped in. “Pap told him to move or just to chill out, and the dude started getting smart with Pap,” she explained. While the 30-year-old didn’t seem angry at first, she said the man’s persistence made things uncomfortable, especially since he kept following her. “It was weird. It was like bro, if you don’t gone somewhere…”

Claressa Shields also suspected the man was recording her with special glasses. “Where you all get off with them glasses, you’ll be having on? Glasses that be recording people. Where you all get off with that? Is that even legal?” she asked, pointing out how unsettling it is that people secretly film others for content. She added, “I think he was just trying to go viral, but if he did, it was going to be in a bad way.”

In the end, the Flint native said she and Papoose made it clear they weren’t tolerating disrespect. “Pap definitely do not play around,” she noted. “I know Pap got the hand. So you all can just put two and two together about what happened, but he don’t take no disrespect. I don’t take no disrespect. But I block people like that.”

Shields chalked it up to the man chasing attention, saying she’s seen similar videos online. But this time, she made it clear, she wasn’t having it. The way she described Papoose stepping in right away highlighted just how protective he is of Claressa Shields, and she made sure to give him credit for that as well.

Papoose proves he’s the man of class Claressa Shields deserves

After her dominant win over Lani Daniels, Claressa Shields took to Instagram to thank her partner, rapper Papoose. “And 😊 To my man @papoose ….. Thank you,” she wrote. “You are the epitome of a REAL MAN! How you have added to my life and my happiness, I can’t speak about how great you are enough. I’ve been in the driver seat of my life since ‘FOREVER,’ and now you came and took the wheel and let me ride shotgun 🤩🥹 Thank you for being who you are…” Shields continued to express her gratitude for the role Papoose has played in her life.

She further praised him, writing, “Despite all the ‘wrong’ names that people add to you, you are truly just a Smart, GREAT MAN, Genuine, Loving, Honest & Kind Person. This weekend would [not have] been possible without you! I say that humbly! You helped me make ‘one more’ of my dreams come true! If it’s Us vs Them, we [are going to] always win.” The 17-0 boxer made it clear just how much his support has meant to her.

Notably, Claressa Shields and Papoose have been in a romantic relationship for some time now, making it public in late 2024. This development came during Papoose’s ongoing separation from his estranged wife, rapper Remy Ma, to whom he is still legally married. That said, it’s unfortunate that Claressa Shields had to endure such an awkward and unsettling situation, but she was grateful that the love of her life was there to step in, take control, and protect her from any potential harm.

Serena Williams shows off exceptional figure at age 43 with revealing look

Serena Williams has again captured attention, this time not on the tennis court but through a striking fashion statement as the 43-year-old mother-of-two revealed her toned frame in a delicate baby blue lingerie set after a tough weight loss quest.

Following the birth of her daughters, Olympia and Adira, the woman regarded as the greatest female tennis player of all-time opened up on her struggles to cut down the pounds.

“Dressed to the nines… and on cloud nine. In satin swimwear of course,” Serena wrote via Instagram, weeks after Williams disclosed she has shed 31 pounds with the aid of a GLP-1 weight-loss treatment.

She was donned in a light-blue satin set showing off her slim stomach, busty chest and the powerful legs that allowed her to dominate women’s tennis for close to two decades.

Completing the photo was her golden curls cascading down over her shoulder as she looked fresh and young in the face, wearing make-up to highlight her cheek bones and lips.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner has often used social media to share glimpses of her evolving style and fitness, becoming known for posting swimsuit photos that emphasize her athletic build.

Her latest images reflect a new chapter in her public persona – one that celebrates both resilience and transformation as she also uploaded a series of photos in a vibrant yellow swimsuit while posing in the water.

Her sculpted arms, strong legs, and defined midsection highlight the remarkable shift in her physique since welcoming her daughters with husband, the Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian.

Speaking of Ohanian, together the married pair have also launched a collaboration with Ro, a telehealth company that prescribes GLP-1 medications with Alexis serving as a board member.

How does GLP-1 work?

GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) medications mimic a natural hormone that regulates blood sugar and appetite.

By slowing stomach emptying and enhancing feelings of fullness, they reduce food intake and promote weight loss. GLP-1 also helps regulate insulin, supporting metabolic health in individuals with obesity or type 2 diabetes.

Patients typically see gradual but sustained weight loss when combined with healthy lifestyle changes.

While not a substitute for diet and exercise, GLP-1 provides a medically supported option for those struggling to lose weight through traditional means.

“I literally was playing a professional sport,” Williams said of her own journey. “And I could never go back to where I needed to be for my health, for my healthy weight, no matter what I did.

“I would always lose a lot of weight, and then I would stay. No matter what I did, I couldn’t go lower than that one number.

“As an athlete and as someone that has done everything. I just couldn’t get my weight to where I needed to be at a healthy place, and believe me I don’t take shortcuts. I do everything but shortcuts.”

Alexis Ohanian says he’s perfectly fine with being known as ‘Serena Williams’ husband’, even though he’s made a name for himself and forged a successful career of his own.

Ohanian, the co-founder of Reddit and a self-made millionaire, was responding to fans on social media when he made the confession.

“I love how you don’t mind that they call you Serena Williams’ husband,” one follower wrote on Twitter.

To which Ohanian replied: “I’ll be a self-made billionaire one day and most people will still know me as Serena’s husband (or Olympia’s dad) and that’s fine by me.”

Williams and Ohanian have been married since 2017.

Ohanian and Alexis are often spotted in Williams’ courtside box, most recently at the Australian Open where he was seen wearing a shirt reading ‘Greatest female athlete’ with ‘female’ crossed out.

Ohanian recently revealed how he didn’t like watching tennis before he met his wife.

“I hated tennis for a long time, until I met my wife and tried to learn it,” he told CNN in December.

“I am always a sports fan and when I watched a final closely I understood the privilege I had.

“Now I appreciate the world of tennis, I understand how the world of tennis is a difficult and intense world.

“In the world of technology we work very and really hard, but we have been naive since the work done by a professional tennis player, both physically and mentally, is absolutely on another level.”

Ohanian said he now considers it a privilege to be able to take his daughter to watch Williams in action.

“I sat in the front row to see everything Serena does, to understand her role in the world and I discovered how different she is from others,” he said.

“I know how much she has worked for everything, not only as a woman but also as a black woman.

“At the same time Olympia will never question all the great work her mother has done and one day I will explain it to her, but I want to make her understand that I do my part too.”

Serena Williams’ candid confession about marriage

Last month, Williams made the candid admission that her marriage with Ohanian is “not bliss” without work.

In a Q&A with Bumble, the tennis superstar opened up on marriage and matrimony.

When asked the most surprising thing she learned about marriage, the 39-year-old replied with a laugh: “Marriage is not bliss”.

“But it can be if you work at it,” she added.

The 23-time grand slam champion added during the Q&A that “a dealbreaker for me in a relationship is definitely loyalty. Well, not having it, that is.”

She also said: “I always knew I wanted kids.

“I never knew when but I always knew I wanted kids at some point.
