Tiger Woods Breaks Silence on Brooks Koepka’s First Call After PGA Tour Reinstatement

Brooks Koepka’s return to the PGA Tour has been making headlines for weeks, and behind his comeback stood one man: Tiger Woods. The 35-year-old revealed he was the first person on his call list before officially making the return. Now, days after Koepka’s debut at Torrey Pines, the 15x major champion has finally broken his silence at the SoFi Center, where he was supporting his team in TGL S2.

At Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, a reporter asked: “Tiger, I want to know if you would touch on it real quick. Brooks mentioned you were the first call that he made when trying to reinstate on the PGA TOUR. Any talks of him as a Jupiter native potentially becoming a part of this team down the road?”

Woods kept the response simple: “I don’t know that part yet. Brooks just got his feet wet being back on our Tour again at Torrey, and he’s playing Waste Management this week. If Brooks is going to be on a team or not on a team, we have a great team here. My boys here, we’ve had so much fun going back and forth, and these group texts are just awesome.”

For Koepka, the comeback had everything on the line. He faced a hefty penalty under the Returning Member Program: a $5 million charitable donation, forfeited Tour equity bonuses until 2030, and no FedEx Cup bonus payout this season. The PGA Tour estimates these penalties total between $50–85 million in missed earnings.

However, not everyone welcomed his return.

Tiger Woods made the deal happen, but plenty of pros voiced frustration. Michael Kim wrote on X that players were angry. During Koepka’s LIV stint, loyal PGA Tour pros watched him chase guaranteed millions. Now he’s back without grinding through Korn Ferry qualifiers.

Analyst Brandel Chamblee had pushed for harsh punishment, even suggesting a return via Q-School. He argued Koepka was a “marquee legitimizer” whose credibility kept LIV afloat while loyal players paid the price. Tiger Woods and the player-directors carved out a path, but some pros see it as favoritism dressed up as meritocracy.

Through it all, Tiger Woods remained deeply involved. As chairman of the Future Competition Committee and a member of the PGA Tour policy board, the 50-year-old worked tirelessly.

“We worked through Christmas with both boards to make sure this is right,” he explained. There were no days off.

“He’s not taking a spot away from any player,” Woods emphasized. “That was one of the main concerns.”

Woods called Koepka’s return “a win for everyone,” noting it brings back a top-tier player fans demanded.

At the Farmers Insurance Open, Koepka made his return official. He finished tied for 56th at 4-under par. Even the Torrey Pines crowd welcomed him with standing ovations.

“The fans were awesome today,” Koepka said after his opening round. “I think it was very cool to hear, ‘Welcome back.’ It was pretty much every hole.”

But the real story unfolded in his post-round reflections.

What Brooks Koepka said after Torrey Pines

Making the cut was his main goal, and Koepka achieved it. He finished at 4-under, fourteen strokes behind the winner Justin Rose. The warm reception arrived quickly as fans lining the fairways offered encouragement. Koepka responded with fist bumps, autographs, and visible appreciation throughout the week.

“From the first tee on, it was great,” he said. “It actually made me settle down a little bit. It made me feel good just to be out here.” Brooks Koepka admitted he was nervous ahead of his first event back, driven less by concerns about golf and more by how he would be received.

“I just cared about my perception, what people thought or what the fans thought,” Koepka said. “I care about what everybody’s thinking out here. … Just wanted a warm reception.” That reception settled him down from the opening tee shot onward.

Time away from full-time competition shifted his outlook entirely. “I think I’ve fallen back in love with the game,” he said. “Fourteen weeks is a lot of time to think, a lot of time to reflect. … I’m just excited.”

His first tournament is complete. Brooks Koepka now heads to the WM Phoenix Open, ready to continue his journey with Tiger Woods’ support.

Tiger Woods’ Record in Danger as Justin Rose Delivers Stunning Performance at Farmers Insurance Open

Eight shots. That’s the margin separating Justin Rose from the field at the 2026 Farmers Insurance Open. It’s also the margin separating him from everyone except Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Scottie Scheffler over the past 20 years.

Justin Ray, golf analyst, took to X on Saturday evening to declare the record: the largest 54-hole lead on the PGA Tour in two decades stands at eight strokes, achieved only three times before Rose walked off Torrey Pines’ South Course with that identical cushion.

Woods built his here in 2008, winning by eight en route to his 62nd career victory. McIlroy carried his through Congressional at the 2011 U.S. Open, closing with a record 16-under total. Scheffler matched the mark last season at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, finishing at 31-under to tie the Tour’s 72-hole scoring record.

The last player to hold a nine-shot advantage after 54 holes was Woods at the 2000 WGC Invitational. A quarter century ago. The all-time marks sit even higher.

Woods held a 10-shot lead after 54 holes at the 2000 U.S. Open, eventually winning by 15 strokes at Pebble Beach. He carried nine shots into the final round of the 1997 Masters, cruising to a 12-shot victory at Augusta. These margins belong to a different era, when field depth was thinner, and one player could simply overwhelm the competition week after week. Today’s Tour would never allow such separation. Rose’s eight-shot cushion might be the modern ceiling, and it all started Thursday.

Rose carded a bogey-free 62 on the North Course, a round that featured 10 birdies and announced his intentions before most of the field had found their rhythm. He followed that with a 65 on the more demanding South layout, eagling the par-5 sixth from eight feet after a pin-high 8-iron and adding birdies on five other holes to break his own 36-hole scoring record at Torrey Pines. The third round pushed his lead from four shots to eight, placing him in a historical bracket that admits almost no one.

Torrey Pines has always rewarded sustained excellence, and no one understood that better than Woods during his peak years. The venue produced eight of his 82 career victories, including seven at the Farmers Insurance Open and the iconic 2008 U.S. Open triumph over Rocco Mediate on a broken leg.

Woods won four consecutive times here between 2005 and 2008, a stretch of dominance that made Torrey synonymous with his name. Rose captured the 2019 title against a field that included Jon Rahm, Rory McIlroy, and Woods himself.

The statistical rarity of Rose’s position becomes sharper when viewed against the backdrop of modern Tour depth.

Why Tiger Woods-era dominance has become nearly impossible on the PGA Tour

The paradox of contemporary Tour golf is this: scoring has never been better, yet blowout margins have nearly vanished. Adjusted scoring averages have dropped from approximately 71.2 in 2020 to around 70.8 in the current season, with birdie rates climbing by half a stroke per round across the field. Players are longer, fitter, and more technically refined. The depth chart runs 50 names deep, where it once ran 20.

And yet, eight-shot leads remain almost mythical. Fields now stack the top 20 within five strokes of the lead after 36 holes, compressing margins that once stretched comfortably into double digits. The average winning margin on Tour has shrunk to under three strokes, making Rose’s current position not just impressive but statistically anomalous. Four instances in 20 years. That’s the denominator.

Rose hasn’t said much about the historical company he’s keeping. After his second round, he noted that the large lead wouldn’t change how he approached the South Course — a statement of process over outcome that fits the moment’s quiet weight. Sunday’s final round will determine whether he converts this position into his 13th PGA Tour victory.

But the conversion isn’t the point. Rose is standing where almost no one stands anymore, in a lane that’s been empty for two decades except for Woods, McIlroy, and Scheffler. The modern Tour makes this nearly impossible.

He made it look inevitable.

Nelly Korda accuses Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods of ‘unbelievable miss’

LPGA standout Nelly Korda has suggested that Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods squandered a significant chance, despite their launch of a women’s edition of TGL.

TGL is currently in its sophomore season following a triumphant debut year in 2025. With fresh investment and plans for growth, McIlroy and Woods revealed that WTGL would kick off at the close of 2026.

Player recruitment is already underway for the inaugural season, with World No. 1 Jeeno Thitikul already on board.

While LPGA standout Nelly Korda hasn’t yet signed up for the new circuit, she believes McIlroy and Woods should have created a mixed-gender TGL instead of establishing a separate women’s league.

To date, WTGL has confirmed that Thitikul, Charley Hull, Lydia Ko, Brooke Henderson, and Lexi Thompson will compete in the league. Rising talents Rose Zhang and Lottie Woad were added to the growing lineup on Tuesday.

Korda hasn’t turned down an invitation to participate but is still considering her options. Before reaching a conclusion, however, Korda has raised concerns about why all elite golfers weren’t united in a single competition.

“I have mixed feelings on it if I’m being very honest… and I’m surprised no other girls have, or no one’s really spoken out about it,” Korda told Golfweek. “I think it’s a huge and unbelievable miss that we’re not playing alongside the men.

“There’s no greater way to grow the game, and it would have been revolutionary. It would have been the first time, I think, that men and women are on the same playing field, playing for the same exact amount of money.”

Despite this, Korda remains appreciative that a women’s version of TGL is coming to fruition. “But I also think it’s great that we are getting this opportunity, so that’s my mixed feelings,” she noted.

While WTGL awaits Korda’s response to their invitation, the former World No. 1 isn’t in any hurry to commit.

She hasn’t dismissed the possibility of participating, but is carefully weighing her choices.

“I’m just still weighing out the time commitment… I just haven’t really thought about it too much, because I’ve been really focused on trying to get ready for this season,” she explained.

“I think logistically, they’re still trying to figure some stuff out, so I will just weigh out my options in the near future.”

Regardless of Korda’s uncertainty and reservations, WTGL leadership couldn’t be more pleased with the reception the league has garnered so far. Following the announcement of new roster members, WTGL emphasized the widespread enthusiasm among LPGA Tour players.

Liz Moore, chief media, strategy, and legal officer, commented: “The response to WTGL since our launch has been incredibly encouraging, particularly in the level of interest and commitment we’re seeing from players across the LPGA Tour,

“Having Lottie and Rose join this growing group – and seeing so many WTGL players competing this week at the LPGA Tour’s ‍season-opening Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions – reinforces our belief that WTGL will complement the LPGA in a meaningful way and create new opportunities to showcase the incredible talent, personalities, and competitiveness of our athletes.”

Insider claims Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump are ‘each other’s ideal type’ after couple’s loved-up display at his lavish 50th birthday bash

Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump are seemingly as loved-up as ever as the golf icon celebrated his 50th birthday with his high-profile girlfriend by his side.

The 15-time major winner, who turned 50 at the end of last month, toasted the milestone in a lavish bash on Wednesday as a co-celebration of 30 years of his charitable foundation.

The opulent party, which took place at The Breakers hotel in the billionaire enclave of Palm Beach, Florida, hosted 300 VIP guests who enjoyed a feast that honored the sporting great’s five Masters victories.

And while Woods mingled with the star-studded guest list, he reportedly spent a lot of the night cozied up to his 48-year-old girlfriend.

‘Tiger was with Vanessa but also busy talking to people he knows from the charity,’ a source told People Magazine.

‘There was some serious partying going down all night by the philanthropists and other high profile guests,’ they continued.

‘They seemed to have a great time,’ the source added.

Meanwhile, another insider weighed in on the romance, claiming that the golfing legend and former wife of Donald Trump Jr. were a match made in heaven.

‘Vanessa and Tiger have a lot in common with each other and with their kids,’ they told the outlet. ‘And each is the other’s ideal type.’

Earlier this week, exclusive Daily Mail photos reveal the recently minted couple with Jon Bon Jovi, who performed an acoustic set ahead of the banquet that honored the sporting great’s five Masters victories.

The love birds, who went public with their romance last March, quietly slipped into the main ballroom for the stunning event, The Daily Mail revealed.

The 15-time major winner chose a classic dark tuxedo look with a red tie and red pocket square, while Vanessa stunned in a slinky black dress and red high heels while carrying a gold clutch bag.

Massive security surrounded the party, with local and state cops flooding hotel corridors.

Meanwhile, Secret Service agents were warily eyeing anyone passing the ballroom doors – behind which Vanessa’s golf protege daughter Kai also was among the revelers.

Woods and his new love chatted with the throng of guests enjoying cocktails and canapes as pop music played at around 6.30pm.

They then slipped out to a nearby small reception room to greet 63-year-old Bon Jovi.

Woods beamed as he had his picture taken with the rock legend, who has a $43million mansion in the exclusive beach town, also home to President Donald Trump. The couple then headed back to mingle.

Just after 7pm, Bon Jovi nipped across the corridor that was guarded by another phalanx of Secret Service agents to head into the ballroom for his acoustic set.

Woods’s combined bash for his TGR Foundation and birthday – which was in December – was given the title RED: Celebrating Legacy.

The color element was down to his signature dress code for the final day of a golf tournament, when he always wears red, a tradition started by his mother, Kultida, who believed it empowered him.

All the guests wore some element of the color as they tucked into the menu of a mix of items from his five Masters Championship dinners.

These included sushi, porterhouse steaks, crab cakes, cheeseburgers, steak and chicken fajitas, stuffed jalapenos, French fries and milkshakes.

The glowing tribute event wound up shortly after 10pm, with revelers flowing out of the ballroom clutching their small black boxes.

Woods and Vanessa began dating in November 2024 after meeting at events at the $38,595-a-year Benjamin School, where both their children attended.

Vanessa married ex-husband Donald Trump Jr. in 2005 and divorced in 2018. They share five children: Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe. The divorce was relatively amicable, and both Donald Jr. and his father, President Donald Trump, have put their seals of approval on her relationship with Woods, Daily Mail can reveal.

Woods shares two kids – Sam Alexis and Charlie – with ex-wife Elin Nordegren, whom he married in 2004 and divorced in 2010 after a shocking sex scandal in which he publicly admitted to cheating on her with multiple women during their six-year marriage.

And as Woods’ career winds down after a litany of injuries, it appears he is leaning on his new girlfriend more and more.

‘She came into his life at just the right time,’ a source close to Woods told the Daily Mail. ‘She showed up as he was seriously considering what happens next in his career. She has added so much stability on the home front, and he gushes about her influence in his life.’

Tiger Woods rumor spreads after PGA Tour legend’s injury nightmare

Following his back surgery, many are hoping to see 15-time major champion Tiger Woods make his return to golf as he continues his recovery.

Woods underwent his seventh back surgery in October and said recovery was going slower than he expected, but he has been cleared to chip and putt — hoping to make his way back to golf.

Woods is rumored to play on the PGA Tour Champions after the 15-time major winner turned 50 in December, and one insider thinks he will enter the tournament at some point.

“There’s been rumors he’s going to play out here,” said PGA Tour winner Tommy Gainey on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio.

“I don’t know if any of the golf fans in TV land or radio land have seen, but he signed a deal with Insperity. You could see it on his sleeve, so that’s good news.

“And Insperity has a tournament on the PGA Tour Champions. So, I’ll let people think about what they want to think about that, but that tells me that if he’s able to play, he’s going to play in that one.”

Gainey believes there’s a chance Woods could make a return on the PGA Tour, as the gold icon has also been in attendance for every Jupiter Links TGL match.

Tommy Gainey wants to see Tiger Woods play on PGA Tour Champions

“I’m moving up to short irons, so that’s about it,” Woods updated the fans at TGL. “I need a little bit more than that to be able to play [on TGL]. At my speed right now, I could probably play the Stinger hole. Just kind of roll it off the tee. But no, I’m progressing, which is nice. I’m getting there and getting stronger. It’s just one of those things where it just takes so much time for the bone to heal and the bone to set.”

Gainey won the Hale Irwin Rookie of the Year Award on the PGA Tour Champions last season and is hoping to play with Woods at some point in his career.

“The biggest thing for him is, I want him to get healthy,” Gainey said. “And when he does get healthy and plays out here, I would love to be paired with him going into the final round with a chance to win a golf tournament against him. That would be a dream come true.

“Everyone knows he was the man on the PGA Tour and he’s still the needle, in my opinion. I’m just so happy he’s 50 because he’s going to bring more eyes to the PGA Tour Champions. And that’s never going to hurt.”

‘Hell of a shot’: Tiger Woods compliments son Charlie after bizarre sequence at junior golf tournament

PGA Tour fans are getting an extra-long break with this week’s Sentry at Kapalua canceled. But the tour’s biggest star, Tiger Woods, is still on a golf course this week. Following his son, Charlie, at a junior tournament, that is.

And, apparently, there was a pretty bizarre sequence during Sunday’s second round of the Junior Orange Bowl.

Tiger Woods Charlie Woods

According to the Palm Beach Post, Charlie hit an errant drive under a tree on the 11th hole at the Biltmore Golf Course. When the 16-year-old tried to hit a recovery shot, his golf ball popped up off a root and nearly hit him in the face.

The Post reports that Charlie was forced to “drop his club and cover his face.” But good news! The young man was fine. And he then somehow managed to put his next shot onto the green and make a long putt for par.

Which prompted the ultimate compliment from Pops: “Hell of a shot,” Tiger was heard telling Charlie as the two joked about the wild hole. We just wish it had all been caught on camera. Instead, you’ll have to settle for these photos of Charlie—well, mostly Tiger—from the Palm Beach Post.

Charlie shot a 73 to go with his opening 72. The 13th-ranked junior golfer in the country is T-22 after two rounds (Full scores here) at and event his dad won way (WAY) back in 1991.

Yeah, Tiger Woods is getting old. In fact, he turned the big five-oh last week! And we have had plenty of content to honor the occasion.

Tiger Woods confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump in March 2025 via an Instagram post, raising more than a few eyebrows along the way when he declared, “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side!” The superstar golfer spoke glowingly of his “journey through life” with his new flame before making the obligatory plea for privacy.

As odd as the coupling might seem, it actually makes perfect sense. Both have close ties to President Donald Trump: Woods through golfing events, and Vanessa by virtue of her former marriage to first son Donald Trump Jr. Woods’ children attend the same Palm Beach private school as Vanessa’s daughter, Kai Trump, who’s a promising golfer herself. In fact, the couple is said to have met through social events at the exclusive Benjamin School.

Yet while no one is questioning the sincerity or depth of the couple’s love, they may not be staying together strictly for romantic dinners and cuddles on the backyard hammock. Sources tell the Daily Mail that the champion, who turned 50 in December 2025, is feeling the effects of his age and the physical limitations that come with it.

Injuries and surgeries in recent years have clearly limited Woods’ ability to play, and there are rumors he may opt to retire rather than try staging a comeback. If that happens, he may need the emotional support of a loyal partner more than ever. “[Trump] came into his life at just the right time,” explained an insider. “She showed up as he was seriously considering what happens next in his career. She has added so much stability on the home front, and he gushes about her influence in his life.”

Tiger Woods is getting the thumbs-up from important family members

Two prominent members of President Donald Trump’s family have given their blessing to Vanessa Trump and Tiger Woods. When their relationship was first made “Instagram official,” first daughter Ivanka Trump cheered in the comments section, “So happy for you both!” Bettina Anderson, now engaged to Vanessa’s ex, Donald Trump Jr., was equally delighted: “Beautiful couple. So happy for you both,” she wrote. While Don Jr. himself hasn’t publicly commented, sources tell Page Six that he wishes his ex nothing but the best with her new love. The president’s long-time friendship with the Grand Slam champ also factored into Don Jr.’s opinion: “He also knows that his father respects Tiger and how well they get along,” an insider said.

Even more importantly, at least one of Vanessa’s children seems to be on board with her mom’s new beau. Kai Trump accompanied her to the January 15, 2026, gala honoring both Woods’ 50th birthday and the 30th anniversary fundraiser for his TGR Foundation, an initiative that provides STEAM-based educational programs to underserved areas in several cities. Kai, stunning in a red gown, seemed genuinely delighted to be there; at 18, she could easily have begged off going or copped a teen attitude. The fact that she was happily present — and loves golf — seems to bode well for the family.

Woods isn’t hanging up his golf bag just yet, though he’s said he’s still working to get back in shape before he can compete again, as he entered 2026 still slowly recovering from his second back surgery in one year. With the support of both his new girlfriend and the women in her circle, he could enjoy a final season or two before planning a post-tournament future.

Tiger Woods Needs to Marry Vanessa Trump Soon ‘To Keep Her Happy’

Vanessa Trump is allegedly putting pressure on Tiger Woods to propose sooner than later. An insider says Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife is ready to see a ring on her finger, but the 50-year-old golfer is still carrying a lot of baggage from his prior marriage to Elin Nordegren given all the mistakes he made. A prior source in June 2025, only a few months after the pair made their relationship public through an Instagram post, said that Woods already had plans to marry Vanessa Trump “fairly soon” at the time, but a proposal has yet to materialize.

Woods worried he won’t “succeed at marriage,” insider says

“It’s no secret that she wants to take things up a notch and have a ring on her finger,” said a source about Vanessa Trump and Tiger Woods to the National Enquirer. “There’s pressure to propose coming down on him for sure.”

However, according to the insider, Woods is allegedly frightened that he’s going to fail his second shot at marriage and still carries a lot of regrets about his extramarital affairs that destroyed his first marriage.

The source explained, “It’s been nearly twenty years since [Tiger] blew his marriage to Elin and to this day, he will admit that was the biggest fumble of his life. He doesn’t talk about it a lot but on the rare occasion he opens up, he admits the regret still weighs on him pretty heavily.”

Compared to Nordegren, who has since married retired NFL tight end Jordan Cameron and has had several children with him, it’s apparently been harder for Woods to move on.

“Tiger hasn’t been able to do the same, at least not until he met Vanessa,” the source continued. “They really seem like a great match.”

“The only question is whether he’ll fully be able to shake his baggage from his divorce. It’s not just regrets over tearing his family apart. He also worries that he won’t be able to succeed at marriage.”

That said, the insider says Tiger would be making a mistake if he doesn’t propose soon. “He’s going to have to face his fears and do it before too long if he’s going to keep her happy.”

In the meantime, Tiger Woods has been advising Kai Trump, Vanessa’s daughter, in her debut on the LPGA Tour.

Greg Norman Puts Rory McIlroy, Tiger Woods on Blast for Never Confronting Him Directly

Greg Norman may no longer be the loudest voice of LIV Golf, but he is far from done stirring the pot. At 70, the Australian legend has shifted his daily focus from golf’s boardrooms to the deep seas, chasing shipwrecks near Cuba. But going beyond his recent antics, Norman still sounds very much like the man who once “tore” professional golf apart. Greg Norman recently decided to take a shot at Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods for never facing him while holding grudges.

“They would never sit down across a table from me and talk to me man-on-man, one-on-one,” Norman didn’t mince his words while talking about the PGA Tour official and unofficial spokespersons. And according to him, there is only one reason that this never happened: “because I’d win the debate all day long,” he said, matter-of-fact.

A lot of stories unfolded in The Times’ exclusive on Greg Norman. He talked about Donald Trump, his close calls at the major tournaments, and, of course, LIV. But there was a larger point behind it all: to reveal the truth- the things he thought Rory and Tiger should have discussed with him, and what their silence ultimately meant.

Norman stated, “They couldn’t say to me, ‘Greg, you’ve hurt the PGA Tour.’ Hey Tiger, how much did you make out of the [Player Impact Programme]? Oh, Rory, how much did you make the last couple of years? What’s your prize money? I haven’t changed. I’m saying the same thing [as he did at LIV’s outset]. I’m just saying it with a lot of validation of the facts… everything [new] they’re getting is because of what I put in place.”

While Norman left the competitive realm decades ago, his public image is still contested. On one hand, he presents himself as a reformer trying to create new opportunities and shake up a system he believes was unfair. On the other hand, critics see him as someone driven by a long-standing resentment toward the PGA Tour, dating back more than 30 years, and view LIV Golf as the ultimate expression of that unresolved feud.

However, Greg Norman has blatantly rejected the idea that he was associated with LIV for revenge. He has shared how he feels that he has long been misunderstood. By daring the maestros of the sport to challenge him directly, he has called out what he sees as quiet opposition. More so because he seemingly believes that open conversation makes one more accountable than choosing whispered criticisms. He is disappointed regarding why both Woods and McIlroy chose never to confront him directly during the sport’s civil war.

The chaos surrounding LIV Golf this week only adds to the irony. The league he helped build is wobbling. However, Norman remains calm and away from the debacle. He has chosen to speak on how he still believes he was right to challenge the system. Now, while the Saudi-backed league struggles to find its footing under the leadership of Scott O’Neil, Norman has shared his unfiltered take on the decision of Koepka to sever ties with LIV and rejoin the PGA Tour.

Greg Norman happy about Brooks Koepka coming back to the PGA Tour

Norman left as the LIV Golf CEO back in 2025 as Scott O’Neil took over the reins. Unfortunately, his departure also triggered a pretty sombre phase for the Saudi-backed tournament. As the LIV Golf announced bringing in some radical changes, one of the biggest blows they faced was that of Brooks Koepka. One of the biggest stars of the game, Koepka, announced his exit from the league, citing family concerns.

However, as Koepka left LIV Golf with a year’s contract remaining, his future became clouded with uncertainties. As the PGA Tour required golfers from unauthorized leagues to serve a year-long ban, this meant that Koepka would have been out till mid-2026. Thankfully, with Rolapp introducing the ‘Returning Member Program,’ Koepka finally found a way in and is now a PGA Tour member. Now, while there have been a lot of criticisms of the move, Norman seems pretty much okay with the same.

“I love it. It’s free agency. Brooks had an option to stay with LIV or go back to the PGA Tour. He’s an independent contractor who can go wherever he wants. Look at what is happening with Bryson… God bless him. I hope he becomes a billionaire out of it,” said Norman.

Now, as Norman will continue to express his unfiltered thoughts, fans are eager to find out how LIV Golf functions in the absence of Norman.

Charlie Woods avoids freak injury as Tiger, mom Elin Nordegren support him at tournament

Charlie Woods, the son of golf legend Tiger Woods, had to duck and cover when a recovery shot on the 11th hole at the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship nearly hit him in the face in a freak sequence during the tournament’s first round on Saturday.

Woods, with his dad and mom, Elin Nordegren looking on, had hit a ball under a tree on the 11th at Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables, Florida, and was attempting to get clear when his shot struck a root and came back at him, according to the Palm Beach Post.

The ball almost struck the younger Woods, and he had to drop his club and protect his face in order to not get hurt.

Woods did manage to recover in the end, getting himself onto the green and then making a lengthy putt for par.

Tiger Woods told his son, “Hell of a shot,” and joked with Charlie Woods about what had happened on the hole, the Palm Beach Post reported.

After two days of the tournament, Woods is three-over par for the tournament and sitting at T22.

He had shot a 73 on Saturday and followed it up with a 72 on Sunday, which included him battling back on the second nine after a rough start to his day.

Woods has been charting his own path in the sport that his father helped elevate during his legendary playing days.
